Un rendez-vous exceptionnel avec la famille Savoy. Ce fut un temps fort du Festival de Pontchartrain, "un Pont vers la Louisiane", le 25 mai 2012. Avec Samuel Giarrusso à la batterie. Aux caméras : Patrick Lebette, Patrick Larue, Jean-Pierre Bruneau, Pierre Emmanuel Martinet, Siegfried Renner. Son : Vincent Boissonnet et Hugo Mèche de Silence sas !

Mark made my accordian and I have had the sincere pleasure of meeting Ann at a music camp some years ago, and all I can say is that they are simply THE BEST!!!! I would travel most anywhere to see them perform. How does a person sit still when they are playing. The music literally sucks you out of your chair and on to the dance floor. Dont' resist...........you simply cannot!

You may be more correct than you realize... after the U.S. established its public education system... native Francais, Deutsch, Gaeilge, and Cymraeg speakers were banned from speaking their language in public schools and some were even persecuted for speaking such in public places.

It is March 26, 2020 as I write and we are most of us are in self-chosen lockdown at home. During this dreadful time of COV. And meanwhile, we enjoy on the Internet and You Tube music that heals, cheers and uplifts us, that makes us get up and dance in our own living rooms...And in that joy we find strength..Thanks to the dear Savoy family and their gift of this exultant music.... My wonderful great aunt who lived in Port Arthur was such a wonderful lady. Cajun to the core and loved her Yancey family. I loved Cajun music and people long before it was cool to do so.
