i know alot of CC's out there are sick of genshin, but i feel like this guy genuinely enjoys genshin and its lore and playing for what it is. all love bro cant wait for 4.6!

I've been waiting for a character to positively depict relations similar to Set/Seth for years! I do hope he is, though he could easily be either of the many Egyptian god inspos.
in Clorinde's "full portrait" you can see her weapon, she has like a rapier (french type of sword) with like a purple handguard.. idk if it's purple or it's the ousia/pneuma thing that fontaine weapons have
we've seen her use a sword in the archon quest. it was a the Iron Sting in the quest. the sword she's using in the drip marketing art seems to be a new weapon we don't have in-game yet which makes me think it's her specialty weapon and she might turn out to be a 5 star character. I could be wrong tho. (leakers, this is not an invitation to spoil. don't even dare.)

The sword that she was featured with in Furina's demo was the Finale of the Deep: meaning the leaks about her being a Bond of Life character, and Sigewinne being a bond of life granting character, are probably true. We'll have Clorinde's beta kit in like a day or two.

You're conflating "not pulling" with "not spending money on pulls". I pulled on the Cloud Retainer banner to snipe Gaming with the currency from saving. I also got him in one 10-pull, so it was hardly "building pity" lol.

The whole dragonheir makes me wonder if she's tied to Enkanomiya too. Neuvillette was born human thanks to Orobashi and Sigewinne is the only Melusine with human features.
Surprisingly whelmed response to 2 5*s in a freaking .7 verson lol. He was expecting Clorinde even after assuming Sigewinne was a 5*, kinda hard to believe he didn't have any knowledge of this.
Even though I wasn't going to get Clorinde, I've been anxiously waiting for her to finally be playable for my partner. Literally the two characters he wanted the most (besides Furina as Archon of course) after seeing the Fontaine teaser was Clorinde and Arlecchino, and he's had to wait SO long for them. He nabbed other characters along the way, of course, but those two were his muses. Finally I can rest easy knowing they're both gonna be in his account in the near future.
I was honestly expecting, by his color scheme from the 4.6 reveal, that he would be Sumeru's first (and possibly only) Geo character. So this was surprising this morning seeing he was Electro. Looks like Sumeru is going to remain Geo-less, which is kind of interesting given the desert. I do wonder if there is something from the lore of the game thus far that explained why Sumeru has (so far) no Geo vision users? If there was, I sure missed it.
I’m very happy that Sethos is electro, because if he’s off field then I can finally play a good Sumeru only team! But I also want a geo character from Sumeru, I’m personally hoping that one day they’ll release a tall geo male character from the desert that uses sand in his kit (bonus points if he’s a debuffer)

Is not that Clorinde would kill them, they would just fall unconcious, I mean, the only reason she killed Navia's dad was because he didn't give up and explicitly wanted Clorinde to kill him, altho death in a duel with lethal weapons is very possible, even if by mistake.
5:30 - Not gonna lie, the thing I was most excited for in this drip marketing overall was the appearance of Emilie in the lore. Since I had already decided I'm skipping the featured characters, and Emilie is the only character affiliated with Fontaine, that we've heard of, that hasn't been properly featured in anything yet. I was somewhat shocked to see Arnold not include any reaction to Emilie's name in this video.
I kinda suspect when he sees the name he must think it comes from leaks¿? Although clearly not if anything I think some leak people are clueless but whatever. Then again she did come up during the 3.3 event and I assume Arnold did play that so maybe he just doesnt remember or straight up doesnt care. Oh and there's also the character voicelines yeah I think he knows she exists so its probably the latter

As a relatively new Genshin player I can't help but wonder, where did Cyno's Hermanubis lore come from? I did the Archon quests and Cyno's story quest pt1 but I've never heard anything about it. Where does one find the lore??? P.s. I'm excited to see all the new characters, they look absolutely awesome
it is in his character lore in his profile which you unlock with more and more friendship. That why a lot of people know about Childes time in the abyss and his master Skirk before fontaine because it in his menu too.
If you have any characters in your party when doing completing resin-based content (commissions, leylines, domains, weekly bosses, Teapot EXP, etc) your character accumulates Companionship EXP, which levels up the character's Friendship Level. At Friendship Level 1-6, you'll periodically unlock "Character Stories", which gives deeper lore and backstory to said character. Friendship 10 rewards you with that character's Namecard to equip and display on your account. I believe Cyno's Hermanubis lore is revealed there. So unfortunately, you can only discover deeper lore of this kind if you own the character and level up their Friendship yourself or look it up on the Genshin Impact wiki.
Funnily enough, last time an update had two new 5* + a new 4* was... 3.1, which is when Cyno released ! I guess Electro characters from Sumeru only come when this specific condition is met, or even Electro characters in general at this point, I started playing in 3.2 and had never witnessed the release of any new electro char ever since lmao I like this entire new batch but I don't think I'll be pulling for them (and I'm also skipping all 4.6 banners), the only unreleased character that I'm interested in at this point is Emilie, simply because we know almost nothing about her and thus I'm curious what she'd be like - but for all we know she might not even come out before Natlan. Outside of that, I'm still waiting for a damned Nilou rerun for constellations (thank god I didn't skip her back in 3.6)
I think they will put Sethos on the rerun banner and put old 4 Stars on the new 5 Star banners. Hopefully it will be Wriothesley and Furina. It is time for their reruns.

Considering 4.6 is packed with new area, events, story quest, side quest, max statue of seven rewards, fountain rewards etc. with just bp and welkin, we'll get decent amount of primos and with a little bit of swiping, i guess your siegewinne or chlorince budget is secured without spending much Arnold, i.e if your going for either Siege or chlorinde.
Not too much to say regarding characters other then I can't wait to see what Sethos's role is in Cyno's second story quest And that I'm glad I'm not the only one who realized since Furina was technically never a archon arlecchino is getting the important lore relevant story quest replacing a second archon quest which has me curious what Nuevellite and Furina's second story quests could be As for pulling, skipping all 3 unless boredom hits me or sethos is another fischl, I just don't need another healer or electro dps but finally having another good off feilder electro support would be great I just wish we had another one for pyro would make the issues of only having one character of that type for only one half of abyss

4:12 I mean, Xianyun has a lot of lore, is a new playable adepti, she also looks really cool, and she also flies, and she has a popcorn maker. Yet you skipped her. So those reason you brought up for Arlecchino's case aren't really good. You should also skip on Arlecchino if you want to prove a point. You are just making excuses now cause let's face it, skipping for two patches is the most you could do. You don't really need Arlecchino or Sigewinne but you can't do the "not pulling for every character" anymore so you just cave in and make up some random reasons why Arlecchino is okay to pull. Heck your reasons for Sigewinne were so weak as well.
*speculative rumors/ spoiler alert* Some people have said, that Sigewinne will be 5 star, hydro, bow healer/support character with bond-of-life mechanics. So that will be nice for Arlecchino

They are going to release a 4 star in 4.8 aren’t they because Sethos will be our 16th character this year and since Inazuma, we have always got 17 Edit: I think Basilios means king? It'd be so sad if Sethos turned out to be a 4 star, only because his counterpart Cyno is also 5 star. But if they're doing opposites with them, then I guess it would make sense if he was a 4 star. And if Cyno is on-field, then they should make Sethos off-field (though we already have a busted electro bow off-field dps that is Fischl, so he has tough competition). Though for funsies, they should have made him a tall male model bc Cyno has the teenage model X'D
Im getting ready for all of them I've been wanting every Fontaine character since the beginning of the Fontaine archorn quest. And I'm guessing Farina will probably have a rerun around the summer she could be part of a summary event or something.
Not planning on pulling for anybody in the next couple banners actually. Spent all my wishes for Kazuha cons (he's C5 now! And while I've spent some money in the game it hasn't been for months and I am by no means a whale). Might try to snipe Sethos depending on how he plays but if he's going to be a four star I might be content to just wait for him to show up eventually otherwise. It's kind of looking like I might not end up really pulling for anyone again until 5.0 at the earliest, lol. If only because, based off what we've seen in prior x.8 patches, it's likely we'll only get re-runs then and I generally don't pull for 5* cons (Kazuha is the exception!
after spending alot of time with the daily with normal looking melusine i kinda grown to liking them alot more then sigewinne like Blathine for example in fontaine the only real charcters i wanted the most where furina and arlecchino everyone else are like if i feel like summoning out of all the fontaine 5 stars i own 2 furina and Neuvillette
Oh my god where the hell is Emilie?? Will she ever get released in the Fontaine patch?? For those who don’t know: Emilie is a perfumer from Fontaine has been mentioned by Lyney, Lynette, Chevreuse, and Chiori multiple times in the game.

For the presentation order, I have it pre-setup since I look into leaks and know who is being released, I never thought of using the character release order, I'll keep that in mind in the future.
I'm going to be the odd one out, I'm skipping Arlecchino for The Wanderer (I'm still on the fence though).(I might get her on re-run along with weapon if she's fun to play with) I might try for Clorinde and Sigewinne depending on how they play I'm trying to save as much as I can for Natlan. There always be re-runs, and the game isn't going anywhere.

Welp you just need to go about it smart when doin pulls for me it was simply waifus only after inazuma dont care how broken or w/e the next dude would be i wouldnt pull zhongli and kazuha are all the meta i need from the 5* rest all waifus and got everyone i wanted and many with their sign weap too with just spending the 15$/month which to me isnt much for a game i still enjoy playing even after its launch.

Arnold, I don't get it, I've never watched your streams, only what's posted on this channel, but I've gotten an impression that you min-maxed Genshin like crazy, you even overcapped on resources, 100% all the content and never skipped on any events. How the hell do you feel the need to spend any money on the characters? I've been playing F2P ever since 1.0 and managed to pull almost every single character without paying single dime for primos. Skipping on Cloud Retainer because of gacha addiction is just crazy to me, she is just such a great character with such a fun exploring gameplay, it's truhly sad you missed out on her for such a wierd reason.
I agree with the comparison of Gaming and Sethos. I love Sumeru characters but it sounds like his personality is a bit too stale and not that unique. I hope Im wrong though...
As far as we know, Albedo doesn't know her, but them being related has nothing to do with if they know each other or not. From the Elynas quest, it's speculated that he was created by Rhinedottir, much like how she created the Rifthounds, Durin, Albedo, and Subject 2,. This fact, from a familial standpoint, would make all of them brothers, with Rhinedottir being their mother (creator). And because the Melusine were created from the corpse of Elynas (their father), that would make them all nieces to the Rifthounds, Durin, Albedo, and Subject 2.
