this topic can demoralize somebody .. before watching these video lectures , i thought i was loosing the motivation to study ..but i just realized i am doing OS since last 4 nonstop hrs and solved those examples by pausing video. feels like i can sit for 4 more hrs. (the moment you say "very easy question".. i guess it gives courage to attempt the question ) :D awsome explanation thank you so much. with all the respect .. the writing looks little faded takes extra efforts to read .

Sir,I think following topics are generally difficult for the gate students.It would be nice to have some lectures on these: (1)OS-Memory Management(Speacially Virtual Memory). (2)Theory of Computation-Undecidability (3)DBMS-Indexing(B,B+ tree) (4)Engineering+Discrete Math-Not any particular topics,but a modular way to what to prepare,how to prepare,from where etc, as there are lots of topics in this subject. (5)DS-Tree balancing. (6)Computer Networks-There are lots of stuffs in this subject and seems difficult to most of the students.

the original gate question did not have semicolons after the brackets of while loop. This answer is correct for your question because this is a changed question. The answer by gate was- "prevents deadlock and no mutual exclusion", since there were no semicolons after while loop.

Sir, I think there is a problem in gate 2015 question. In process Y : in last line it is written "varP = T", instead of this "varQ = F" should be there, otherwise Q will never be false and Process X will remain stuck in while(varQ==T).

Sir please make a video series on SYSTEM PROGRAMMING (based on IBM 360) (Ref.Book: J J Donovan). There are no other books available than the mentioned one and also no one on youtube has uploaded perfect video series for it. The subject is based on 60% numerics and 40% theoretical. Near about 40 to 45 Universities in India have this subject in their syllabus and the students are getting difficulties in this subject.
