The thing that makes abyss hard is the sheer number of waves and the mechanics that you have to play in some of those waves. GGWP. I'm so glad I'm only playing this again after a month.
Seeing an Amber comp that doesn't require C6 Diona with Elegy and C6 Sucrose gives me life, ngl. This might just be the comp I'll try with her when the time comes.
it's still doable with sucrose just a lot more clunky until you do a university course and a 10k word thesis and dissertation on enemy pattern manipulation and grouping (I am overexaggarating)
Tip: You can charged atk to trigger more swirl to build up stacks for heizou faster, and it also stagger some enemies easier. Also, you can use his ult at a distance where it will hit as long as you are facing the enemies, it does have weak auto-targetting but you could use it to group some enemies that are not separated too far away from each other. Additional small note: If you already have full stack on Heizou, there is no need to do a small hold on the skill button to activate, simply press. The different would be that Heizou would be lunging back if you held the button before releasing but if it was just a press then he would skip the lunge animation. This could be false because of my ping, but from what I observe, you can skip the lunging animation if you release/press the skill button fast enough
I rarely use CAs in my rotations, idk how much of a difference it makes in the long run his grouping didn't seem to do too much against the lectors compared to other enemies, but it did come in handy in the past against Primuses and whatnot.
@@SaffronTuscanMy bad, I forgot to mention that you can walk to the edge of the chamber first after defeating the mages to draw the further lector closer. If his ult could not stagger them then your skill definitely will. As for the CA, you don't always have to do it, but it's the fastes way to get stacks in case your skill is ready. If you already have stacks, there is no further need to CA unless you want to try to stagger the enemy (I have a habit of spamming CA to push enemies to each other sometimes)
I do my friends abyss from time to time when they have too too much trouble completing it and I did this one for them and it was definitely the hardest abyss we've had in a while!! I enjoyed the challenge though! Always super impressed at how insanely skilled Amber mains are. (not sure if you're an Amber main but I assume she's one of your top characters at least) I have a fully built Amber melt team myself but am not confident enough in my skills to clear floor 12 yet. I admire your perseverance with this abyss!!

Really nice, man! As always! This abyss is probably a prelude for the powercreep Era.. It is stupid how easy Neuvellette and Furina made the second part! lol With them I was able to clear with time to spare! That's why I dont have your courage to use Amber and Heizou xD
biden blast + girlfailure is stupid strong yeah, and are probably one of the main reasosns the abyss has gone way up in difficulty the past few patches. other main reason is no doubt upping the primo rewards for abyss + theatre

Instead of Rosaria could you use Furina instead? (I just got c6 Amber and finally levelled her to 81) I haven’t levelled rosaria so could I just use furina? (Amber, Bennett, Furina, Kazuha)
Hey, love the amber vids. I'm in the process of building up my bunny bomber amber melt team. Quick question: Is there a reason why there aren't that many bunny bomber builds that utilize vaporize instead of melt? Is it because melt just always does more damage? or is it because of some quality-of-life reason like cryo teammates are more easily utilized over hydro teammates?
thank you! forward Melt (hitting Cryo with Pyro) gives a 2x damage multiplier, while reverse Vape (hitting Hydro with Pyro) only gives a 1.5x multiplier. Amber is one of the few Pyro units who can properly utilise the Melt reaction, so it will almost always be the better option. The only way you'll get close to Melt levels of damage for Amber is running Amber (with 4p Marechaussee, Furina, Bennett and Kazuha/Sucrose.)
good question. in hindsight it would've made more sense to go XQ first then Yelan since he does Hydro RES shred at C2. activating Yelan's burst and A4 buff later in the rotation would mean it wouldn't run out as fast once it was Heizou's turn to deal damage. second half of this run is very much unoptimized, sadly. but thank you anyway!
