thankfully I've seen and watched this vid❤️...because while I'm watching it...I stared at my guppy for a moment then I noticed she's already giving birth😍....I immediately isolated her..and as of this time...she's still giving birth❤️..THANK YOU!!!
This is probably the BEST video on youtube that explains Guppy pregnancy and birth. Thank you Albert for posting this. My 1st batch of guppies was ruined and eaten by the moms.. I know know what to expect and do to save the babies!
Great info with VERY clear pictures. Thank you for putting my mind at ease and equipping the community with great knowledge. Earned yourself another sub for this. Love this and keep em coming!
I've got a female guppy separate with a male guppy in a 10 gallon. She seems pregnant, but not quite close to giving birth yet. Excited for the babies. Thank you for the info!
I just got four guppies yesterday, and the guy gave me two male and two female, and said the females are already pregnant. He said to bring the babies back when they have grown a little and he'll trade me food for them. He keeps the fish local, so these are healthy fish, and want to do the best I can to make sure they survive haha. He said that my fish are about a week or so out, but I want to learn how to tell on my own.
very good at explaining and showing signs of guppy pregnancy and giving very helpful info. im am now subscribed to your channel. great job on this video.
Thank u so much your video it helps me a lot I watched ur video last night,I separated the mommy, when I wake up in the morning I see all the babies of my guppy, she really give birth.im so happy I did fallow u and see all the signs u’ve given.
This is Sooo True! My fish guy Gave me 1 preggo female and 2 males when i bought the last fishes from a tank that they happened to jump into accidentally from another, and he just Threw them in with my purchase!!! 😊 😃 😀 😄...NOW after 6 months or so .. I have ABOUT 60 fish! They just keep breeding in the same tank over and over constantly! NOW my local fish store buys them from ME!! Great info, THANKS! If i seperated them like you and others suggest i would have 3 times the fishes..
Thank you for the best information...it really helped me a lot I was having guppy female pregnant from when I bought it from store....i was behaving different from 2 days..after seeing this vedio i suprated her...at night an when I woke up i was so happy ❤️
I havent seen my female guppy for a bit until a today so she might have been nesting after a few days we got her we noticed she was pregnant so ty for posting this vid!
I bought 3 pregnant females around 3 weeks ago and I've seen one of them rapid breath at the top for awhile before resuming her usual guppy rutine. This has been going on for a few days, so hopefully she is due soon to prevent the fry from being eaten by the other tankmates. They are not box shape big, but the gravid is nice and dark. They are not particularly cranky, but they have pecked at the boys and eachother a bit. My guess is the one that is breathing at the top will be the first one to start. Very informative video and helpful 🔥👍
I bought 10 pcs. 8 female. At first they have a cute rounded belly. The next day after i bought them i have hundreds of littles fry pop in my tank. So i got forced to buy another big tank just for them. I originally have a cichlids tanks and i want to have a community tank. Now i have them and the females keeps popping a fry.😂😂😂
as i observe mixing youre guppies in other strain of guppy is not a good idea but your lecture is all about breeding/birth a big thumbs up for you sir i learn alot.
TY for the information, your the only one that I have seen that actually said anything other than the box shape of the Guppy. I have two females pregnant and one I feel is going to give birth very soon though I thought that for the last 5 days..the male will not leave her alone, I dont know how she will isolate herself. I dont have any extra cash to buy a breeder box though they arent much. Hopefully I will get one before the other guppy gets much bigger. I will watch for her to breathe heavier as you mentioned.
My guppy is doing the air gulping after 2 days of nesting, 1 day of a shift in her gravid spot to lower and deeper inside her, and 1 hour of contractions. Lets see if the 1 day prediction works!
Great presentation very simple with clear sign and closeup of exactly where to look 👀 between I have two make guppies chasing other type of females but has no chance 😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️👍
Yesterday my cousin's female guppy give birth but we did not anticipated it so the other fry was eaten by the male guppies😢 we are only able to save 4 fry😅 Thank you for this helpful advice.. Hopefully the next time we can save a lot of little guppies 😊
Great info. I have golden guppies and I've never heard anyone ever mention the gravid spot being pink sometimes. I thought something might have been wrong with mine because all have pink gravid spot, not black.
I just bought some guppies and noticed immediately that one is a very pregnant female. I don't have any idea what to do now?! Currently trying to watch your videos for tips!
This is a great vid! Thank you!! I just worry about the possible "ammomia" in my fish tank, causing all the fish & parents to get sick, and give birth to sick babies + die.
@@panik8867 I know this is an old comment but yes plants help a lot. You should also use prime in your water changes but you can also dose some prime if you suspect a ammonia spike
@ so when she gijving birth ih give food or after giving birth?
3 года назад
@@catwsharksfit you need giving food when her giving birth not after giving birth? If after giving birth her will hungry then eat everything. Tomorrow i will give your clip i do that. My guppy famale is probably about to give birth again ^__^
This is very helpful for first timers like me.. My two guppies gave birth and I separate the mother and babies because they were trying to eat the babies I got 20 healthy fry but after 7days they died and it breaks my heart.. maybe its the water because we cleaned their tank cause its full of dirt. I hope next time I can do better 😢😢
My female is quite large and I think she is almost ready. I’m afraid to separate her too soon. Is it ok to put my tank separator in now even if she doesn’t give birth for a few more days? I don’t want to isolate her too soon if it will stress her. Thanks!
I have a pregnant guppy with a big belly about to birth. But today i check it is dead. I saw her dead body and the belly is eaten. My fish tank has only guppy fish, and a algae fish. It is impossible for a mud fish to kill others. It confused me how my adult pregnant guppy die. Does other guppy attack her when she is giving birth? i know that guppy tend to eat their littles fry. But attacking a adult pregnant guppy with her belly eaten? Whose the culprit, damnit.
Sorry for the loss sir.. Dropsy desease is very rampant to female guppies now a days.. ive seen a lot of breeders complaining that their female guppy fish died.. ive checked it and it wad dead because of dropsy.. dropsy can cause to bloat female guppy fish that will look like pregnant and then dies.. i too have experienced it.
oh my! this is so helpful. my gubby recently shed it's skin and ate one of the children. it was so sad, but I realized she was just pregnant. I still have to clean the blood out of my fish tank though. she has quite sharp teeth, yikes! 😁🐟
My male guppy is chasing the female(tuxedo guppy)and the females belly is getting bigger sice we bought the fish and the gravid spot is not too big.should i move them to another tank?(new to fishkeeping)
Hi, I really liked the video! My guppy gave birth last night but I only found one fry, I already separated them form the rest but the female guppy still looks fat and is acting a little suspicious. The only thing I hope for is that the baby fry survives
If I put the pregnant guppy in a breeding net, is it ok to keep the led lights on in the tank? Or would that be too much light for the guppy because there is no cover in the breeding net?
Your guppies look exactly like the guppies I bred. The females have nice large blue colored tail fins and the males nice flowing long red fins. I never bred guppies before. But I noticed something. All the guppies I bought at the store, especially the male guppies expired with a rather short life span. A year later, almost all of the male guppies I bred are still alive and active. No doubt they do better than store bought guppies and really that is what a fish hobbyist likes to see. Strong healthy fish with a longer life span, right?
Actually The Black Balloon molly has A White Spot in there butt when it is pregnant and when it is giving birth it will be at the above surface of the tank :)
My guppy was fat and I thought that maybe she was pregnant, a few minutes ago while I was staring at the tank, I saw a tiny guppy baby in one of the decorations. I knew it!
Good info. Thanks. I just put 8 wild caught ones in my tank. Out of 8, the 4 pregnant females are missing now. Checked the filter, corners, floor. Nothing. Hoping they hiding in my coconut with a plant growing in it. We see.
@@albertsguppyadventure4293 Thanks. Dont think so. I opened it and took it apart. Nothing. Unless stuck in the impeller or a tube somehow. Dont want to take the plant coconut out too check it. If they inside it, then its good for them. Unless my cats have been snacking, I just have interdimensional fish.
My guppy is a very dark colour so I can’t see the gravid spot, but she has a big rounded belly (starting to square/box up though even though I think she might be a first time), but she is still hanging around the other guppy’s (a little bit), but being very aggressive.
What strain is that tuxedo male with the high dorsal and orange tail? I used to have one that I got at Meijer in my early days of fishkeeping and I never knew what he was
