Dr Okusanya, you are the spitting image of your father, who coincidentally was my Project supervisor at the university. It is a very interesting interview. The eloquence, diction, and mastery are top-notch. You are an extremely meticulous, brilliant, hardworking, and humble guy. Amazingly compassionate about your profession. Your ability to draw a healthy balance between your job and family is admirable. Kudos and I use this opportunity to salute Doctors for their sacrifice. May God bless you all
Ok this is literally GOLD! The quality of the video, audio, questions, host attitude, and the guest personality, OMG this is something this is really something. I gotta say I’m here before the 1 million.
Immediately he said the name, I had to check description and I saw he's Nigerian as I suspected 😅.. I'm just entering my 3rd year and final preclinical year and this is highly motivating to me as a Nigerian med student
18 years completely focused in one path takes true dedication and knowing exactly what your after, you set your waypoints and try not to deviate. However, starting at 18 years and done at 36 is actually young age with huge accomplishments, most people at 36 can’t even land a good job or have little to no skills.
Every single interview is an actual masterpiece! I watched every video, a few repeats, and this is my 3rd time watching Dr.Okusanya interview. This man is absolutely at peace, ready to take the next challenge head first! What an amazing group of doctors we have at Jefferson! Im applying this cycle, and Jefferson is top in my list. 🤞 even if I don’t get in for medical school, residency in Philadelphia with these doctors would be an absolute dream. Im working in neurointerventional right now, but im more and more interested in my interventional cardiology colleges, and now to the field of both cardiac and thoracic surgery! Hopefully in a year I’ll look back at this post, with an acceptance 🙏
As a pre-medical student, I found this video incredibly inspiring. Dr. Okusanya's passion for learning, medicine, and dedication to self-actualization is both captivating and motivating. His commitment to excellence and personal growth serves as a powerful example for all aspiring medical professionals. One key takeaway for me is that while intelligence and knowledge are essential for all doctors, it is the passion, grit, and ability to connect with others that distinguish a good doctor from an exceptional one who truly changes lives. Thank you both for this wonderful content!
This is SUCH a high quality interview in every way! Dr Okusanya had such good points and I was invested all the way through. I love your new setup and cannot wait for more interviews!
Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 USA 🇺🇸 this gentleman's academic efficiency is outstanding. With all that he commends his wife for her proficiency also. Should all cardiologists meet this gentleman's standards the world 🌎 ♥ has so much to offer when opportunities happen. What a good listen, especially with a highly skilled interviewer. Thanks Zach. nb: recently retired 68 year old Maori nurse. Arohanui ❤❤😊
I am a family physician working in Singapore and it warms my heart to see so many brilliant doctors on your podcast totally in love with their work . I am not brilliant but my life's motive has always been to be a very good doctor and it makes me feel good that all the great doctors on your podcast all share this trait. Keep up the amazing work man.
This is the one. Thanks for putting it together for all of us new med students and new residents. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel, and the smile on this guy’s face proves it.
Loved this conversation. He’s extremely intelligent and you can tell he’s a great physician. He reminds me so much of the surgeons I know, which is cool lol. Really enjoying your podcast!
I just finished the video and i hope it wouldn't end up !! Dr okusanya was just amazing ... his positive vibes and energy are of another level ... despite all the difficulties he went through , he stills love what he is doing and encouraging people to follow their dreams , which not common in the world of surgery !! My dream is to become a surgeon too ... and in 3 months i would pass the final exam to enter to residency ... and this video just showed up in the write moment, thanks alot for both of you !!
Good morning listening to this interview has made me feel comfortable 😌 that my life would be safe hands with this doctor. Fifteen years of self commitment with Education Efficiency to reach the levels that this gentleman has is reassuring. Thank you bless you❤❤😊
The trade off here, is that you have no social life whatsoever. It is you, the patients and the hospital. Just did not work for me. I respect my colleagues who took it all the way.
You sacrifice a lot to become a CT Surgeon... part of that sacrifice is your medical knowledge... You lose a lot of practical medical ability becoming a heart proceduralist.
what a fail of an intro. does all that talking about his accomplishments then the first he lets him respond is "if you did it again would you do it differently! herrr derrr" like honestly. no class. at least welcome the guest ffs.
