I was born and raised in the Pyrénées. It’s kinda cool to see people showing some love for our mountains. The Cirque de Gavarnie is a nice place but I would recommand the Cirque de Troumouse too. It’s, imo, more beautiful and less frequented thant Gavarnie.
The Ordesa national park is the most incredible place in the pirineos together with Gavarnie, and it's a canyon in itself, but I would recommed (with better weather) the Faja de las flores - Cotatuero option, just bordering the whole canyon. Ordesa is worth several hikes, probably the Añisclo canyon, going up to Pineta is a must as well, and if you dare... Monteperdido is waiting just above the Goriz refuge. Great video
It has been pointed out to me once before, but we did not see any signposts there and the map did not mark it as a No Fly zone. We try to respect drone laws.
Seems pretty petty to criticise them when walking in November. Sure when there’s crowds it might briefly spoil someone’s peace, but not on the day they did it.
I don’t know about now, but when we were there it was not. We try to respect drone laws wherever we go. It was mentioned neither on any signposts on our trail, nor in the No Fly Zone maps on the drone device.
The video is very good but the USE OF DRONES IS FORBIDDEN IN MOST OF THESE HIKES through protected National or Nature Parks. Please comply with the rules. You are harming the fauna and the environmental authorities could fine you. November is the worst time of the year! Please come to the Pyrenées from mid June to mid September. If you want lonely hikes, don't do the ones that are in these videos! And never in August. The Pyrénées are my home country and the most beautiful mountains in the world.
Lol, Aguas Tuertas doesn't mean "One eyed forrest", but "Twisted Waters (Twisted River). Wonderful. I've been to a couple of these somes years ago in summer, I love it how you organized your trip from Spain and oriented yourself so easy in all of this stuff. Also at a tie when it's not loaded with mass and crap toursim. I subscribed, please share practical info on these trails and your trips 💯
Many thanks! 🙌 We’re thinking about sharing additional info on the trips, just looking for the best format. And yes, it has been pointed out to us about the correct translation of Auguas Tuertas 🙈
@@markusrosehill Cool... Just put the info on the description for each video... Like how you figured out the trails... I tell you what, I'm French, we have 1:25.000 trailing maps for every each square meter of the French territory, the IGN maps, for sale on the Vieux Campeur in Paris 5th district (probably on the web and/ or Amazon)... I've been thinking about figuring out the trail from Cirque de Gavarnie to Montes Perdidos in Spain (some other guy in the Internet shared it)... Don't hesitate and share practical tips too man.. Peace
you guys are epic, and deserve millions of subscribers, no matter how many subscribers you will achieve, we appreciate your effort and your content to the fullest and above. Thank you so much, and keep being yourselves, stay inspired and go far.
Great work you guys! Could it be that the red clay soils at Aguas Tuertas are a Permian formation (en Francais: La Ruffe)? Any geologists out there with conaissance of the area?
Hello, Thank you for the nice video, very good work from you! We plan to do the Faja Racon hike in about two weeks. Did you need climbing equipment or were you able to tackle the tour without it? Is there a GPX track available from this tour? Best regards!
Thank you! No, climbing equipment is not needed. For navigating, I used the Alltrails app. Here's the trail: www.alltrails.com/en-gb/explore/trail/spain/huesca/pradera-de-ordesa-tozal-del-mallo-barranco-cotatuero Enjoy the hike! 👋
great vieuws , and for us seeing it again through your eyes , we walked those too and we plan to do more from '26 we are both retired and our goal a is to hike all the passes and almost passes . we did a great montagne "Tor" to andorra . and in the val de echo I got a micro crab in my drink ... mountains are so great !!
Amazing work here guys, especially the music! It really inspired me to put this one into my bucket list! Could you tell me the sound on 26:00 from which song please
The word majestic came to my mind, even before your little one line poem. The colours of the autumnal leaves on the trees, the defined rock layers and the undulating shape of ridges along the sky line are inspiring, to say the least, as you walked and climbed up to the Tozal del Mallo then completed the Faja Racon. You are right, November is a quiet time..
Very good vid. The correct translation of "Aigües tortes" is "Winding (curving) waters". The confusion comes becauset the name is in Catalan and "tortes" translates to "winding"
Aigües Tortes (Lleida) and Agua Tuerta (sometimes refered as Aguas Tuertas) (in Huesca) are different places, both in the Pyrenees, although the origin of the name is the same, as you rightly point out.
I am actually going to hike in 2 weeks in the pyrenees with a friend of mine! It looks so beautiful and peaceful there. Do you guys think that we could do the last canyon hike if we are not very experienced (but young and fit)? It does look a bit intimidating
Hey! I think the most important criteria for that hike is surefootedness and not too much fear of heights. Actually, I am afraid of heights a bit, but I manage to overcome it. If you’re similar as me, you’ll be fine. But better don’t do it when it’s wet as I did it ☺️ Enjoy your trip!
I live in a town near the Pyrenees on the Spanish side, and yes, it's usually a great time, but since the weather seems to be "crazier" now, perhaps you should double-check🤷♀️
Hi. Amazing film, congrats. Only one thing, I think the correct name is Aigües Tortes, Aguas Tortuosas in spanish. “Crooked waters” in english. Is 100% descriptive.
Lieliski! Un arī kinematogrāfija jo tālāk uz beigām, jo vairāk aizgrābj. Man ieplānots brauciens uz Gavarnie rajonu vēlāk pavasarī. Noteikti izmantošu jūsu kartes. Paldies!
Did you stay in the same central location for all these hikes? Or did you have different accomodation each night? Is there anywhere you would recommend staying to do all these 4 hikes?
Very nice, all of it! November Hiking, chosen places and the whole tonality of the video. Quiet and easy and a the same time informative. Thanks, guys!
Hi Theodor! The price consists of a plane ticket, rental car, fuel, 4-5 nights at a hotel, food etc. So, the total sum depends on how from where you have to fly in, what car and hotels you take etc. The hiking itself is for free ☺️
@@TheodorOstenfeldtDepends on how many of these you plan to do. If all 4, I'd recommend the same order - starting on the more mild East coast, then Glencoe, then Isle of Skye, and finishing with the more strenuous Suilven.
Merci je vis à Paris et les vidéos que vous avez montré me rappelle mon chez moi étant donné que je suis des Pyrénées ça me manque beaucoup et à travers votre vidéo j'ai pu revivre merci
