While I’m a metal fusion gen, all the plastic hens are just so intricate and astounding in theory. While plenty of them suck, it’s not about performance. It’s about how cool it looks/handles in the stadium. Gotta love the makes creativity.
Is there a resource to find the metal generation ? I won a beyblade ages ago from a timestop machine at a mountain mike's pizza, back when beyblades were super popular locally, but it was metal when everyone else only had plastics (specifically those plastic ones that came in a little plastic carrying case, they were quite nice too) but I've been trying to figure out what I had.
@@toastwalrus Funny thing is, a Metal Gen bey would be pretty much 'impossible' to beat for a Plastic Gen bey. The sheer weight difference is too high. Plus the plastic would be hitting _metal_ its quite likely to just friggen break.
My personal favourite is Dranzer GT, it was poorly executed but the reverse gear is such a cool feature, it conserves spin power and gives incredible defense.
I don't think it's ever gonna happen since drivers like reboot, ultimate reboot, hybrid, and ignition' exist. Since they all act similar to engine gear just with different mechanics like springs and electricity, though it would be cool.
Glad to see more Plastics & HMS representation. I grew up in MFB, so I knew very little about these older Beys, but their gimmicks were always more creative than MFBs are even Burst's to an extent.
Plastic Gen beyblade gimmicks are my favourite but nothing beats Greatest Raphaels gimmick of having an angles halo when losing spin and decreasing air resistence causing you to lose less speed.
Torch Pegasus is actually pretty busted. I figured out that you can replace the plastic bearing in the Gyro Engine with a metal one and it magnified its performance tenfold, so much that not even Dragoon V2 could score any knockouts on it. Highly recommend you try it.
Would love to see if someone could turn Round Shell MS into a left spinning beyblade so it could better take advantage of that massive amount of rubber. Maybe if you combined it with the Dragoon line you might actually get a pretty sick prototype version of L-Drago. The engine gear gimmick is also really cool and something that I wish was implemented into later beyblades
@@munchrai6396 The HMS launcher also has two places for the cord to go in. One will spin left, the other spins right. I modified one of my HMS launchers to fit the tabs from the older plastic launchers. Now I can launch a plastic blade on an HMS launcher/cord. The HMS launcher and cord felt so heavy duty and while I haven't tried a stamina test vs a stock launcher, it feels like a very solid rip every time.
I'm one of the guys that got into Beyblade and out of it in the plastic Gen. But even thought I grew up with the plastic gimmicks I'm pretty much really amazed still with the Metal Beys these days
i had no idea there were still beyblade competitions. i remember the heart break in 2007 being given the bad news that my birthday had just disqualified me for entry into the local tournament by making me turn 16. i even spent money on a custom galaxy dragoon. er....my mom spent money on it. this makes me want to try again, despite being a 33 year old nerd. are there adult leagues? lol
These gimmicks are really cool and thanks for showing them off, I still remember one my old beys that had similar theme to Storm Capricorn, in that it bounced around, but it had an actual spring attached to the tip cant remember its name for the life of me tho
You ever mess with the “Magnet Core” section of plastic Gen? Where blades had magnetic cores and you could put magnets underneath the stadium to affect how it moves?
I wished they implemented the engine gears on beyblade burst as its one of my most favorite gimmicks. Theres the motorized drivers but the engines wouldve been cool too
Haven’t touched a beyblade or heard anything about beyblades since like 2005(at least I think) and man I remember travelling to florida and going to the flea markets and they made rip off metal pieces for the OG beyblades that were oversized and had table saw teeth. They were AGGRESSIVE.. Oh the nostalgia!
Burst Gen here, do wish that they would have the sparking thing cos it would make battles more fun. They did it with the sparking launchers but its not as exciting as the beyblades themselves actually sparking.
Ok, so when I was growing up in Brazil, during the plastic series era there were also some knockoff golden fully metal beyblades that all came with flint on their outermost points, so they had amazing sparks when hitting against eachother. It was also really that they completely outclassed any plastic bayblades by sheer mass, so it was fun to crush people on school with them.
Wish it was dranzer GT in the engine gear ones. The reverse engine gear isn’t very competitively good even for engine gears, but it has such a cool movement pattern
Black dranzer is still my favorite beyblade ever made. I wish they'd remake it for the modern generation Also those engine gears were my shit back in the day. It felt like a final attack from the anime every time it activated
Theres' another beyblade gimmick that no one seems to know/remember about...Like serpents' gashing gimmick there was a line in the plastic gen where flint would sit flushed on 4 corners of the metal wheel and the metal wheel was blue. anything that the beyblade would hit (another beyblade, metallic objects or a wall) while spinning would cause friction which would cause the gashing effect
You think it would be cool if there was a HMS version of Torch Pegasus tip base? My idea is both metal weight disc and tip fuse like how there is Hybrid, Ignition, Generate and Shot were in Burst
You! You’re a beyblade RU-vidr I like. Well I have a tip that in 900% sure you know about, but I’m still gonna say it. When it comes to illegal bey combination. Ifrit’s plattform performance tip is GOATED you can slap any tip ring of any 4d beyblade on the bottom of any beyblade if the bottom of the fusion ring is even remotely flat. I wanted to fuse The death wheel with the Diablo wheel. And I easily did it with the performance tip. I just used LDrago Rush’s spin track (the most basic spintrack ever) with Ifrit’s tip, slapped the death wheel on it, performance tip caught it. And it perfectly fits with the Diablo wheel. It perfectly fits with the flash wheel, the blitz wheel, any wheel that is flat! Ok. I just wanted to say this bc I’ve gone on an illegal bey rampage making anything I could possibly think of settling on Death Diablo Nemissis. Okay, bye bye
I wonder if torch pegasus is ment to have a double rip. Lock it into a launcher pull the coord out of the bey to get the bottom spinning then launch the actual bey.
