The fact that they can modify stun values and flashlight blind duration client-side as much as they want AND send the values to the server without the server actually questioning anything tells how much of a shitfest the "anti-cheat" in this game is

You know the reason they are making this game public is because they've ostracized the killer role by making it so weak and now they need new players to fill out server pop (but this is a stupid tactic because it will incentivize cheaters to make alt accounts)
this is not true at all, the only reason that they keep nerfing killer is because no matter how much they nerf it theres still a bunch of people willing to play killer, And for every 1 killer getting bullied theres 4 survivors having fun so overall they are making the game more fun for the majority

You yourself said the killer role is weak which means anyone still playing killer is willing to expose themself to the unfairness and bullying, which is exactly what i said... My point is that for BHVR its worth to have the 1 killer player get stressed and lose because the other 4 players in that match are having fun and winning. Even if every single killer match was horrible for the killer, that would still mean that the other 80% of players (survivors) would still be having fun, it would only become a problem for BHVR if people noticeably stopped playing killer and there wasnt enough killers in the lobbies, but this CLEARLY isnt the case now so they have no reason to buff killers
There was a video talking about it, where the maker talked to a cheacter. More or less, reporting them does nothing. The average cheater has a life span of about 2 weeks, after which they just buy cheap game codes, cheat to unlock everything, and go right back doing it. The estimate that the hacker gave was about 10% of the PC dead by daylight community used cheats, although most tended to use low key cheats rather than perma blind flash lights, infinite sprint burst, ect. So yeah, reporting literally does nothing. BHVR needs to deal with their shitty anti cheat engine instead
I think that there should be a flashlight nerf that every time you click the flash light on it eats a second. Nothing balance wise, but just get SOME of the BM the survivors can do to the killer to stop.
cheaters actually can insta heal teammates that aren't cheating. So there's no way to tell how many were cheating. Best u can do is report them all and let behavior not do anything about them :)
To be fair if I noticed someone cheating and I was their teammate I wouldnt be doing what they were. It leads me to believe they were all in on it! (If not at least 3)
It’s the same for vhs the game is going to be free dbd and vhs is the same thing you can’t stop cheating once vhs releases their might be hackers the first day it fully releases just cause it’s going to be free doesn’t mean theirs going to be hackers either way theirs always going to be a hacker in every game of dbd you just can’t stop it
@@Notwedsquid The difference bewteen DBD and VHS is one of them is still in beta getting proper feedback from the community and the other has bin out for 5 going on 6 years and can't stop hacking? There's multiple ways to stop hackers. BHVR just doesn't want to stop it.

Its the same hacks over and over- super long head-ons and flashlight saves, teleporting around the map, insta-heals, and a few other things that have been done for a few months at this point. The exact same exploits to keep coming up over and over
No matter what game you play nowadays there is always going to be hacker/cheater because someone is going to throw a tantrum and just get cheats because they cannot get good at the game like anyone else who tries to put time into the game to understand and get better.
The infinite head-on and infinite blind cheats, real classic 👍🏾 Edit: I don't doubt the entire team was cheating but all it takes is 1 cheater to insta heal everyone. Theres an option to heal individual health states or full heal any survivor they want.
i got these exact same ppl on the same map a couple of weeks ago, they had super speed and unlimited flashbangs and blindness then came into my stream after and started bragging lol

The video acted as an invitation to a hate mob to invade true’s stream. True stood up for himself by throwing his voice at the hate mob. Scoot and his psycho girlfriend, Jen, then essentially accused true of ableism for mocking the hate mob. This led to a cancel mob after true. It got to BHVR and they removed true from the fog whisperer program.
What do you mean? Do you think they actually do anything to the reported players on other platforms? I haven't seen any proof of that. PlayStation couldn't care less either.
MMR and killer nerfs took all the fun from killers for me. so much so that I don't get fun from being a survivor anymore unless events are on for some different mechanics.

In this case I think both Dwight and yung jin were cheating, but usually when anyone can insta heal in my games they seem to be able to insta heal their entire team with the click of a button
If everyone in the lobby getting healed dos not mean everyone is cheating. But in this case i think at least 3 People cheating Dwight yun and the new survivor Jonah . Jonah for sure the other 2 i am not certain because console. The cheater has the possibility to give instant heals to others and gives them infinity blind / stun too. I was in a match where i got insta healed from the cheater all the time.
I wish cheaters would get banned mid game like valorant. And end game collapse actually ended the game. At this point I’m beginning to think BHVR welcome cheaters because those account they keep buying are driving sales numbers?
What’s sad is bhvr doesn’t care about the rampant hackers in their game. Why try to ban these people/ fix the problem when you can just ignore it and focus on monetization. The fact that these hackers can hold you hostage is also ridiculous, if you leave you get punished with temp ban 🤦♂️🤦♂️. This game is made for trolls.
Killers are on there 2nd hook struggling with no one to help them. I fear if behavior doesn't fix this, killers will suicide for the 3rd hook, and say f this game and move on. A lot already have. This is just sickening...
Yeah reporting them in game practically does nothing. Kinda strips power away from console players when they see a cheater. I’ve seen plenty of survivor teammates who are cheating but bhvr won’t do a thing because I don’t report on steam.
Honestly when you go against cheater's you should just pull up another window and watch something with chat or just talk that way the degenerates lose their toy and screen time. I've seen some content creators do that and it bores the hacker's to the point of just leaving, though I'm sure some hacker's still stick around since they have nothing better to do with their lives. Glad I gave up on this game before holloween usually a new killer brings me back but when I heard about the "Artist" I didn't even care lol, best choice I made was dropping this game for good 👍
It was supposed to happen at least one year ago. But back then everyone was being delusional and didnt take it serious. Now game is full of problems besides cheaters and people start to understand. Its too late unfortunately.
I used to play Counter-Strike (pre-Source, so late 2000/early 2001) until I noticed cheat after cheat in games. I was ostracized by the community I was a part of at the time, and look at it now. Decent players and albeists will simply believe no one is cheating, it does indeed protect egos, but secretly they'll be screaming "cheater" when they lose cause they know better. I just laugh now, but I am sad I wasted tens of thousands of hours in the early days and lost ALL faith in anyone calling themselves a pro in the game back then. I moved to a new community, was part of the anti-cheat force, and had an absolute field day banning people left and right! Almost made up for it, haha.
Imagine being the type of person who needs to cheat and 'play' like this... then imagine doing all that, and then locking another random player into the match so they have to force close the game. Real class acts, I tell ya.
Fragile ego players, hurts them that they know if they played on a level playing field they'd be destroyed. This team was being decimated even with cheats and yet this still BM like this did anything impressive
