Hey Marion, I've got a question. I've been introducing my friend to your recipes and really want to make her a Thai curry. However she's deathly allergic to all nightshades and can't have chilli. Would the panang flavour dramatically change if I left the chilli's out?

@@WealthyWizard369 thank you! Can I ask why the hospital experience was so bad?
@WealthyWizard369
@WealthyWizard369 3 года назад
@@Fridate To be fair I live in one of the states with the highest covid rate so I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with it. I don't personally blame anyone or even the hospital. It just seemed like they were really understaffed and super busy. I understand, but at one point after the C section I was left completely in the dark waiting for 5 hours worrying what happened without any update. I know it sounds petty but at least keep me in the know. From what I've heard from other people its generally between 2 and 3 hours that the mother is back in the room. I just felt it was very stressful. That was my biggest complaint. Other than a lot of the staff just acting like I'm nonexistent (I understand its not about me but at the same time you can at least give me a bs greeting or acknowledgement). Sorry for the essay lol Edit - i subscribed to you by the way :)
@Fridate
@Fridate 3 года назад
@@WealthyWizard369 that doesn’t sound petty at all! I totally get where you’re coming from. Especially since a c-section is major surgery! You deserve to know what’s happening with your partner and the baby! It’s sad that a lot of people forget about the men in this situation. I live in California so I’m just hoping my husband will still be allowed in the room. I can’t imagine going through labor alone. Thanks so much for subscribing!! The content has been a bit sluggish given my current circumstances 😅.... but I’ll be back regularly soon!

You make such lovely dishes but I cannot make 90% of them because their is something you have to pick up at an asian store when I don't have any nearby. This is advertised as something I can make at home but first 2 things are to get some galangal and dried chillis both of which I can no way buy. All I am asking is please don't put a header of easy and you can make at home as I cannot!

I really wouldn’t say that just yet. Chances that you do have it available somewhere are big, you just have to search for it! And if you really can’t find it, you can still order it online. By the way, Marion is clearly Asian so not really sure how you can be surprised that she cooks Asian dishes..

It was a Muslim lady in Phuket who sold this rice and turmeric dish (I could only see her eyes, the rest was covered). But she had a very friendly, and loving personality. I asked her about the ingredients. She told me she used coconut cream instead of yoghurt. She said that she came from a Malay background. I will try your version. It looks almost like a Thai-style biryani. But also, let's not forget that Thai cuisine is a fusion kitchen. Indian influences are definitely there.
