#4 is probably the most important one I see with guys in their late teens and 20s these days. Somewhere along the way we stopped teaching kids that life is not fair and to focus on the things you can control instead of whining about the things you cannot. A personal anecdote to demonstrate the point: I once worked for a company whose management focus shifted from a meritocracy to promoting people based on immutable and/or qualities irrelevant to their jobs. After being passed over for promotion for 2 years (while training the people who did get promoted on how to do their new jobs), I did not sit around and whine about how it was unfair. I put in my 2-week notice and moved on. Whining about unfair treatment, whether it is in the workplace or in the dating market, burns a lot of energy, but gets you nowhere. Good stuff!

This guys videos is clearly geared toward selling his products but I appreciate his hustle and he does speak the truth in a lot of things he says. One of the few RU-vidrs I follow who actually speaks facts.
Big respect, first time I've came back across your channel in 6 years. Wasn't a big fan of your old videos but every single aspect of these new ones is 10x better. It's clear what your saying works.
January 2022. I started waking up at 5.30am every morning (incl.weekends). 30 min. meditation then off to work. Some of my friends and my co-workers, started saying "oh why you do this, it won't get you anywhere , blah blah blah". January 2023. Second salary raise incoming, and I'm on the way to promotion. i did it for me. And I'm freaking proud. Let's create a great year everyone!!!!
You are one of the only 2 RU-vidrs that I religiously follow (Hamza being the other one) and i followed you for YEARS now. It's good to see that you are taking his style of video on board (from thumbnail style, frequency of upload and and following his method) to gain more views and subs. Keep working hard brother, you will achieve massive success as well!
Thanks David for sharing this second point… Having a very good paying job in the future, amazing career opportunities and yet I’m not really happy. Started my Yt Channel back in February and trying to improve 1% every single video. Thanks bro for your daily inspiration, I will come back to this video in 4 years time and see where life is leading me…🙏🙏🙏
It's funny that you mentioned triggers when scrolling through social media. You never know how certain things affect you, and my recent awareness has allowed me to sorta see it for what it is, rather than being consumed by it. Hoping others find the same awareness; shit's crazy when you step back from it
Lighting is never going strike someone you are bitching about and change anyones mind. You can only control your own actions. My goal this year is to limit my stress and improve my career.
Another great habit I picked up on is when I go shopping. Making a List before I go and buy only items from that list. Nothing is worse than wasting money on junk you don't need Have a good one y'all
Thanks bro. You keep my mind sane. Growing up with shitty examples of how to behave like a gentleman, beast, or other good samaritan, it's been a real journey to get to where I want to be, and seeing videos like this really helps. Keep it up. You really do make a difference.
Martial arts is the great parable of life the more you grow the more you realize how much you have to grow but still realize just how far you have come !
Ive followed your content since Boston. Im wondering if you will ever make a mini series where you do in depth with video editing and what software you use, the process, etc.
If ya wanna start on editing without paying for the software davinci resolve free version is very good and if even paid version is not as expensive as others
I bought a standing desk and walking treadmill for under my desk on Black Friday. Got sick with covid then some other viral infection back to back so didn’t even get to use it for 3 weeks. Game changer in terms of being able to be at the computer all day working (I’m an IT bro) and then study at the computer for hours more. Actually converted 45 minutes of my lunch to use for the online courses I have access to. Then I do at least an hour each night or average of an hour if I miss a day, 2 hours the next to make up. 2-4 hours a day on the weekends. Goal is 4 certs this year.
The truth is, if you average everything out, everyone is pretty much equal in status. Even the homeless guy/girl on the street has something you don't have and you can always learn from them. Stay chill, stay strong, keeping going at it Kings and Queens 💪
You’re the GOAT David!! But I gotta tell if no one else did already you put “Lateral Delt Raise” on the screen when you were doing Tricep Pull Downs😂. Keep making amazing content and progressing in life. I haven’t missed a video in almost 5 years.
David never disappoints! Made some pretty goods facts as always, I would say no3 is more relatable to me cause I'm always on RU-vid these DayZ bad habit that I was change😪 either way Props to David!
The truth is, whatever current situation you're in, is you're own fault.. take some accountability for it, and change it, if you don't like it... but, keep your head up!
I have been doing martial arts for 9 years. I basically started from nothing and worked my way up. Now I am a black belt. I know how to fight. Still, I spar with people who are bigger than me, taller than me, better than me, and I have gotten beat up LOL. But when I play with newbies and people worse than me, I make sure that I hit them and that I beat them up (I don't perform at my best obviously, but you know what I mean) The reason is simple, you learn through the pain and if you want to learn how to fight, you NEED to struggle. And why am I saying all this? Cause, that's how the real world works as well, outside of the fighting gym
I’ve managed to fulfill my 2022 resolution which was to pass my driving theory test. Now on to the practical. This year my resolution is to pass my practical test.
The video effects at the end😆😆. David great video brother. I have been following you for a while now, I own a roofing company in Florida. You have great content and keep it up. 🍻
I can't be victim or loser, because I never lost, there are things I haven't won, yet. But losing is when you give up and admit defeat, I haven't done that.
My new years realotuion was to get my basic stuff together like actually put balc some money and have a place for my 2 Dogs and I and get a mope dthen car again....get the basics down and getting on my feet is pretty much my goal this year and actually drink water and hydrate more properly
I'm enjoying your channel don't agree with u on some things, but I appreciate free thinking approach. I wish more YT'ers would think outside of the box there is demographic that are not lock step thinkers.
beastly video, beastly advices. it's insane how much time we actually can waste. would be fun if you could make a video something:"3 steps to take to get go your path"
David, you are truly blessed in life and have a great platform as an influencer. I've watched your vids for a while now and always appreciated your advice. I pray that you never forget to give the honor and the glory to our lord Jesus Christ. May God continue to bless you and Julia and bring blessings upon your marriage.
Wow! David, I've been thinking about what you said in this video. So, you turned down what was almost a promise of a future 100K+ salary in order to pursue what you really wanted to do. That's seriously impressive, especially as the earnings of an average personal trainer are probably only a fraction of that! I'd love to hear you speak in more depth about it, actually. Was it the PT job itself, the potential of where it might lead or just the concept of following your own path and not become a corporate man?
