4 Day Paddling Adventure in the Canadian Backcountry

We head over to the Sunshine Coast for 4 days of adventure on the Powell Forest Canoe Circuit. We've been itching to get out here for a while and so glad we could finally get here to tackle this route! Only a few more Vancouver Island adventures left before we begin our journey north to Alaska. Don't forget to Subscribe to stay up to date on all Way of The Roads adventures. Cheers everybody !

We know who the king of the castle is, no mistaking your part of his show 😂, great to see the island in all its glory. I used to live on the island and now live in Spain. I miss the green and the lakes and the amazing beaches so thanks for your videos👏👏👏👏

Always enjoy seeing your videos and the way you guys interact. The lakes were beautiful and look so peaceful. You both put some work and walking into this one. Diesel knew he had to do something after the Kitchen trash incident. He is a smart dog and so loveable. Thanks for all the work and time you give into what you do in your travels and experiences. What a great adventure! The Sunshine Coast certainly has interesting portages. Take lessons from Diesel “when your a foodie everyone is your buddy” 😊 I know of a place to supply you with some snacks! 🙂

Awesome work on the portages! I've seen them and they look tough, even if you are in good shape. Clipper makes great canoes in Abbotsford. I have a solo prospector 14 in kevlar dura flex that's about 42 lbs and tested tough against impacts (by clipper and by me). I wouldn't drag it over rocks though. It's an incredibly capable seaworthy canoe.

Thanks! It was a grind lol... i've heard great things about the Clipper canoes! Had my eye on them for a while. The Old Town is a great family canoe for these 'shorter' trips but if we do anything longer I'll definitely consider making the switch in the future. Thanks for the info. Cheers !

Wow a 90lb canoe?! You definitely need a lighter canoe. Got to give you credit for portaging that 👍 although those were some very well maintained portage trails.

A lot of the trails were very well taken care of which was nice but there were also a few rough ones too. Love the canoe... but yes I agree it would be nice to have a lighter one. Made the trip more interesting haha

You hit your 30's and all of a sudden your back hurts all the time... What the f?! We "borrowed" them from work so it's the size and initials written on the back 😅. Lots more to come. We leave for Alaska next month ! Cheers

@@MAGAScott thanks Scott! It's 17', about 90 lbs. Can't say it's very enjoyable to portage haha... But it's very sturdy and durable which is great for having the 3 of us + gear in there.
