Wow a great adventure and great effort . I love the Colo . I have never been up that far thanks for showing us some more beautiful aussie busy . Great effort with the filming and editing too must have taken ages to put this one together . Thanks. very entertaining
Yes this was a big trip with such beautiful scenery. It was definitely the biggest & most time consuming video to put together. Was the reason I had issues 3ith the first upload due to file sizes. Anyway managed to nut it out fairly quick. Thanks again for watching 👍
Hi Rowan, thanks for the great comments & hope it’s inspired you to have a go. We did this trip back in late April & wouldn’t recommend it any later in the year until mid to late spring with just thermals like we had. However you could do it any time of the year in a dry suit. I’d also strongly advise not doing it on your own for both safety & the difficulty of portages. That’s why Shane didn’t run the last rapid that I did even though he’s more experienced & quite capable. If he’d got into difficulty I wouldn’t have been able to help him. Regarding temps. I can’t recall exactly what they were but maybe lowes overnight of 8 & afternoon highs of 18 degrees. Being in so much shade through the day when wet was still tough even with our thermals.
