Clearly, the easiest and most basic preventative is, as you point out, proper cleanliness procedures. Washing my hands after being in the chicken run and washing eggs before I use them has become, I hope, automatic. Haven't figured out a way to keep one of my girls from trying to ride around on my head, but so far no disease from this!

Not so fast. My friend’s eggs seem to be contaminated. Buying store bought now. Don’t feel well after eating my friend ‘s chickens’ eggs. Using store bought ones now and not having any problems. That’s why I checked out this video.

If the birds are not cared for correctly then there could be a problem. Mine are healthy and we never have a problem eating the eggs.

Rub some chicken doodoo under your nose to make your moustache grow in thicker! Just kidding, keep an eye on your flock, keep things as clean as possible, feed them well, clean water, fresh air and sunshine go a long way to prevent nasty sickness!
