Amber glass seems like it would be helpful as many skin treatments purchased in stores are not in clear jars. I make my own muscle pain cream and I use dark amber glass. I prefer natural treatments over those with unnecessary ingredients. Maybe the shelf life is shorter, but if made in small batches and stored in 2 or 4 oz dark glass the product will be used before it goes bad or turns rancid. Thank you for the vitamin E suggestion!

The shelf life will be the same as the shortest "Best Before Date" of the bottles of oil you are using.

Probably at least 4-6oz since most have 1/2 cup of coconut oil and other stuff added
