Hi my 10 months old son can sit with support but he can’t sit from lying to sitting position. Most of the time he is only on lying position but he knows how to roll over. He couldn’t crawl until now. Any thoughts about it? Pls

Hello, I’m happy to hear your son is now crawling! Learning to push into sitting from lying down can take a lot of arm and core strength. It sounds like he is working out his arms more now by crawling. I hope to make a video about this topic in the future! In the meantime, I find it easier to start with learning how to transition from sitting to lying down first.

I think physical therapy is very beneficial for children with cerebral palsy who have gross motor delays. Cerebral palsy may look different for each child and certainly requires an in-depth and in-person assessment to develop a proper plan of care.

Thank you for stopping by, to truly serve you and your child I think it would be best to receive a 1-on-1 evaluation. It’s difficult to assess the situation in words and so I recommend by starting with your pediatrician first and ask if therapy would help.

Hello - sitting without support is typically met by 9 months. Please discuss with your pediatrician so your little can work on this. In the meantime you can try some of these exercises in this video or check out a bit more detail on accessing core strength here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GRJ5CeKVhPw.html The 9-mo sitting CDC milestone can be found in my first video here at 3:12 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4K78a0Mm6Y4.html
