Awesome video man! It takes a lot of guts to do something like this for the simple fact that it is hard to face rejection and hear "no," especially when there is money on the line. I know it takes practice (I've been in sales most of my life, puke) so just make sure you remain confident when speaking to these people, like they NEED what you HAVE. Of course, you don't want to seem pushy but it's easy for them to pass you off onto someone else or just say "Yeah, we'll look at your stuff" to get you out of their face. I'd also say try bringing up the research you've done on them (like their Insta, for example) and explain how you could [insert buzz words here] which will drive more business to their web site or actual store front. All in my most humble opinion, of course. As a fellow videographer, I feel your same pains and we're in this together to grow the industry for the guys (and girls) like you and I.

Matthew Ligotti yaaa so the I believe third place I went to in the vid. They seemed like I could convince them to let me do one for free. So I think I’ll go in next week and see if I can do one for free and maybe they’ll be interested in doing more work after!! Maybe I’ll film my interactions again 🤔 - appreciate the support man. RedBoy Vlogcast actually ya! It was hard in this instance because I was using my phone to film this video. But usually I use my phone to show them previous work!

Rui Pinho ya! Dude! The samples of work is sooo helpful. It really lets your work do the selling. I’m so bad at selling as you can see. But when I’m able to say hey “look at this” it really works out for me.

Josh Pavano I wouldn't say you're bad at selling...sometimes all you can do is tell them who you are and what you do. True selling happens when you're certain they'll say no and you still do it anyways...lol
