The 5 strut Kohno has the richest loveliest sound, both in this comparison and the one comparing the 5 Japanese guitars. It's a great instrument. Excellent playing. Thanks
Have you tried the no 5 Kohno with Savarez Corum bases 500RH3 and the Savarez Alliance trebles? It looks like you play using rest stroke in your right hand. You would be happy with the results. Kohno recommended tuning down the guitar 3 full winds when not being played. Very nice video.
+Bill Baker OOH, NO never! those kohno (actually Masaki Sakurai, who builds in Kohnos workshop now) recommendations are for the new near-lattice braced guitars. those strings kill any character a real Spanish braced guitar has, it suits a "piano character" guitar, not old rich "cello character" guitars, as they do not allow the tone colour range to come through.
