@Fran Yeste nope. Reluctant because of side effects and most importantly it's never permanent. Because you have to be on that for pretty much your life. Chasing after the hairs so they don't fall out. I didn't want to start that game

You will lose the function of your penis if you take finasteride at such a young age. Speak to a doctor.

Visit an appropriate physician to discuss Finasteride use. I´d start with Minoxidil now and add a low dose of Finasteride when you´re older. Hopefully there will be even better alternatives than Fin by that time. Forget about Biotin. If the rest of your hair is looking healthy and strong there is no need to use Biotin.

You are pretty much fully bald, there isn't any more hair to lose lol, for some people who are nw3-4 at a young age wants to look their best and is not willing to wait till they turn nw5 which could take years. Don't mind me asking how was the result, is your hairline low after the transplant?? is it a norwood 2?? How many grafts??

@@subie1019 your right I was pretty much bald which was good because my hair loss had taken it's full course and my doctor said I was likely to be a good candidate. Luckily my donor hair was very thick and course which is also ideal.i was bald from the age of 25 and now I'm 54. Lol it sounds weird but I get women 25 coming onto me now and when I was 25 I couldn't find a young woman so I do believe women prefer hair over bald. I had 2 sessions, 1st was 4000 and 2nd was 3500 hairline is just slightly back from my original was but I'm amazed at the coverage for a Norwood 5

@@Fizzy332 Thanks bro, I think it gave me a lot of my confidence back and allows me to participate in things i wouldnt have done before like swimming and other sports. Hair loss is a curse on man and im glad their is a permanent solution like hair transplants because I dont believe anything else works because i tried everything under the sun to no avail. You are correct though about being a norwood 5 because my surgeon said its easier to treat a norwood 5 or more because theres is less likelyhood of transection while transplanting hairs in an already hair populated area of the scalp but i get what you are saying about not having to wait for years before having it done, luckily i shaved my head from the age of 28 and nobody thought anything of it but i decided i was gonna try regain back some of my lost youth and thought to my self what else could go wrong? ide already lost all of my hair so if it failed i would just go back to shaving my head but I guess I made the right choice in the end. Not bad for just under 2 grand I suppose.

Not entirely correct, the transplanted hair has greater immunity to DHT and some of the hairs might never fall off even without DHT blocking.

@@Danuxsy But native hair will still fall out. Maybe if you are 60 years old and your hair loss is very slow you can get away without using alpha5reductase blockers or topical antiandrogens. Otherwise you will have nice tranplanted hairline and baren shinny scalp behind it in 5-10 yeras but cheap Turkish clinic wont tell you that

If your donor area is good then a good surgeon can design your transplant in such a way that even if the top of your head was fully bald , it can cover the whole thing up if styled properly.

😲🥺I think you are in the shedding phase man,but dont worry stay focus on your goal and btw its a good sign that new hair is slowly growing back .but if the finasteride is not enough you can always go for dutasteride.

Sir Cavin yes. People focus to much on loosing hair. They should just take photos and compare. If the hair on the head looks fine. It’s fine regardless if you shed a lot.

I had the same experience. The doctor explained to me that continuing to lose hairs in this way despite having used minoxidil and finasteride in conjunction for 2 years was a sign that the treatment is not efficacious enough to halt my hair loss. Only slow it down. Like me, a hair transplant is probably on the cards for you.

@Sir Cavin Often this is a bullshit statement. If you're losing hair as a result of stress. The hair loss will be irregular and not correspond with the hair loss patterns that are indicative of androgenetic alopecia. If you're receding, it's male pattern baldness. Not stress. And stress does not exacerbate mpb.

Finasteride wont make a difference in most steroid users anyway. Most steroids are highly androgenic and will lead to hairloss even if you have no DHT due to Finasteride. Even if he is only taking testosterone, the high levels of exogenous testosterone will be just as bad for his hair as the DHT that Finasteride would block

He paid about 6k GBP for each of his 3 transplants and the 4th one was in Turkey so I guess up to 20k GBP in total for 5000 grafts. Not as cheap

He is the son of George Best. Can't imagine that money was the issue here. Probably a fear of overharvesting or another constraint that money could not resolve.

with that kind of thin donor area vs. that kind of aggressive hair loss you can have as much money you want. they made the best achievable result imho

This old hairline you see in the video has been corrected in late 2020. I agree, it was not the most natural transplanted hairline I have ever seen...

Turkey might be the capital of hair restoration but thats just because of the cheap prices. Most people arent educated enough to understand that most turkish clinics are absolut garbage and will ruin you.
