Can you really count a race twice as long as a regular F1 Grand Prix towards "endurance racing" tho?

I heard they did this because the fans wanted it. Outcome of a survey. Not sure why though. It kinda doesn't feel like a endurance race to me if it only double f1 race .

@@RemyTechno "I'm a fan of endurance racing but can we please cancel the endurance part" what the fuck. If these supposed "fans" don't like 6 hour races I've got some bad news about Le Mans for them, the backbone of the WEC.

Well ELMS is also "only" 4 hours, so I think it's fine. Because of this 4 hour race we will have a 8 hour race at Bahrain.

@@Blueflag04 Well yes there won't be many people there but Sao Paulo should be good. Those guys are crazy for motorsports let's hope many come to see the race. Also the weather could be crazy which could make for a very exciting race.

They changed the format a bit because fans voted so in a survey they did a while back. To compensate the 2 hours missing here and in the Shanghai race we will have an 8 hour race at Bahrain and the 6 hours of Sao Paulo return to the calendar.

@@Spectre94951 They would have races at Sao Paulo and Bahrain anyway since those are classical WEC tracks that were cut due to the super season, I'm also expecting the Nürburgring to return in the next few years.

They should bring a race to Australia .. HyperCars at Mount Panorama... the Brabham did a sub 2 min lap around the mountain at Bathurst 12 hour weekend

Well there is no proper race track for WEC races. Bathurst is too small for 4 classes and the pits aren't big enough either for the whole gird as far as I know. There will be a Asian Le Mans Series race in Australia though.
