So I just tried this with my wife watching. The baby had been crying for 15 minutes and by crying I mean the kind that hurts your soul. Swaddled her and did these tricks. She is now sleeping!
Have been doing this mesmeric handpass the last two weeks on my newborn. Didn’t even know it was a thing but it just felt natural to do. Works all the time for my baby.
These steps are great. My son doesn't have problems falling asleep, but these techniques helped him going into a deep sleep much faster, he looks so calm and peaceful now. Thanks!
These all worked!!! Within the time it took to watch the video, I tried all 4 recommendations and to my surprise they all work. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! TOTALLY GLAD THIS VIDEO POPPED UP
Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "tips to get baby to sleep through" for a while now, and I think this has helped. One Step At A Time Did it work? My son is almost 9 months, and the only things that work are bouncing on a yoga ball, the rocking chair or swaying and patting his bum. We can't put a mobile up because he stands up in the crib, and we still switch sides at night too prevent flat spots.
@Bryony O I have a 6mo girl and I've just come to the same conclusion that you did all those years ago. I feed her to sleep and let her sleep with me half the night. Prior to doing this I was letting her cry these heartbreaking cries in my attempt to "sleep train" because that's what family and doctors and these "sleep experts" online said to do. Now I realize my little girl sleeps just fine but she doesn't want to be alone. Who does? I love snuggling too haha, so yes girl, thank you for preaching what I consider to be true baby advice. It's all about love and keeping our little ones feeling safe and secure
Sorry, your baby is very calm, i d like to see these methods in a fussy agitated baby refusing any thecnique . I tried with my 7 weeks daughter, didn’t work.
I heard that there was something called sleep training. It is supposed to help your newborn to get on the right schedule when it comes to sleeping. I want to know if anyone has heard about this.
I've done the hand pass on the toddlers at my daycare job! I always thought to do it because it would trick them into how tired their eyes are, get them to give in to that heavy eyelid-ness. Maybe I can use some of these to help with the younger toddlers. Thanks!
The fatiguing eyes method put me to right to sleep. It brought back the memory of doing that same thing as a child and dropping easily to sleep. Thank you! So many adults I know are having a hard time getting to sleep, too, so you're going to be helping way more than parents of babies. You've provided the most helpful information with your wonderful video. Thank you so much!
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "getting a baby to sleep in crib" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Qeysaiah Baby Bangka - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my partner got great success with it.
Winner of a video, been searching for "tips for baby sleep" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Qeysaiah Baby Bangka - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.
I bet you already know it, but in case you don't, wait until your baby gets into the deep sleep (wait till his eyes stop rolling and he stops making weird faces) and then slooowlyyy put him into crib and keep your hands on him for a minute before you go away
Best piece of advice I’ve ever got is: babies are afraid/not used to gravity, so don’t put their head lower than their body. Always feet on the bed first, head last. And an item of the mother’s clothing near the nose. Hope it works with you
these tips are great. my baby doesn't like being held to sleep but i use the eye fixation, hand movement and patting technique while she's lying in bed and it helps to get her "over the egde" into sleep land quicker than normal.
Horrific isn't it. It will get better though, just got to keep reminding yourself of that. I used to just think, if I can do this next 30 minutes I'm OK. Over and over lol
I was a father a twins at his whits end with 2 crying babies, after watching this i thought to myself... yeah its easy to put a drowsy to sleep!. Nevertheless i tried the hypnotic moving hand down in front of the babies face technique.., fuck me it worked! I am now a hypnotist! Best thing I've learned in fatherhood to date, great video👍👍 ps. I am not getting paid for this either!
A good way to see if they are ready to move is lifting up their hand and dropping it. If it falls limp they are ready. If you let go and it stays stiff they need longer. Do it lightly or you'll the will stir.
This has worked for me a few times but even waiting for deep sleep and doing the arm trick most of the times I try and put him down so slowly and gently his eyes bolt open a minute later lol his mommy senses are too strong
This was an awesome video! And so calm... and really helpful... that baby seemed so relaxed.. I got a bit jealous of it :D Thank you for sharing this :)
Fun fact. My son is 10 years old now and came across this video and after watching I realized I did this all by instinct back when he was a wee baby. Never had any problems with him sleeping except on occasional cramps or teething.
