Is it necessary to give pre-op skeletal traction to correct limb length discrepancy so as to avoid stretch on neurovascular on acute correction of LLD during THR. What is the cut off value of limb length shortening after which we should give skeletal traction pre-op?

Dr. I have consulted with surgeon's from different hospitals ( including army and govt ) some of them perform MIS technique with mostly lateral approach but none even advised about sitting and lifting leg to wear shoes, So is there some procedural difference.

I have same problems also falls from tree when I had 10 years old but when I consulted with ortho at 2006 they told no need to hip replacement at the time if I get treatment agin to replace after 10 years so till no so suffered think like that issue
