Here in Los Angeles California my 13 year old son was bullied and he told me he didn't want to go to school because he was bullied. I told the principal and he immediately began an investigation. The bully was suspended and he never bullied my son again.

I used to get bullied a lot and then I would get called into the office being accused of being a bully for something else too. My bullies never got in trouble… even when there was proof and not here say. And then I got in trouble for things I didn’t do. Such a messed up system. I never even thought about shooting anyone. But none of my bullying was physical. It’s not ok. But was this shooter the kid in white being thrown around? How often was stuff like this happening? What else was he supposed to do? These boys left my little girl so badly bruised and bloody. The school didn't do anything. So we as a family took it to prayer and had met with our Pastor for advice and decided our best option was homeschooling. My kids are 12&14 and absolutely love it. Our church is full of homeschooled children and they are happy and excelling. Homeschooled children are very smart

I dropped out of high school sophomore year and basically did nothing during home school but had to come back to regular school for the big tests and I passed easy, earning a GED. Public school is practically useless, teaching crap you won't need later in life. The one thing I'll give public school is it teaches kids social skills but that's basically done by middle school. Public school would be better off teaching kids how to flip hamburgers.

Hi- public school teacher here. Prayer is 100% allowed in schools. Teachers just are not allowed to lead it (it would be totally inappropriate for us to force students into any specific religion or denomination). I have had many students as my if they can pray, either by themselves or in a small group and I always let them.

My high school had metal detectors at the entrance plus 3 LAPD officers on site plus they had random locker searches. We had fights but none werw with a gun just with fists.
