I picked up the MGW Universal sight tool...and am gradually collecting various slide shoes for it. Expensive...but one sweet tool. Doing your own work is rewarding and you can tinker. Plus...as soon as the word is out...prolly have plenty of friends who want me to change/adjust sights. Nothing like having your own capability...

Steve the last set of sights I installed came with directions showing a small beveled edge on the right side of the sight base. This allowed for easier installation from the left side of the slide. You almost need a magnifying glass to see it but it is there. Hope this helps.

Guess your W German sig is newer then mine .. my front site is a dove tail . I do not believe it comes off . Yes big fan of the trigicon sites most of my guns have the orange ones .. interesting what your doing to the gun . The real bang was when you sent it in and they action tuned the trigger . My W German is 82/84 from the markings

If you’re the original owner of any Sig Pistol with factory X-ray sights installed. They are guaranteed for life. You just need to call customer service and send them your slide. They will replace them for free but I think you have to pay for shipping the slide to them.

Steve how do you set up a p229 and a p226 for a splitting the target sight picture? What #front and rear do you need?

I Have Had My P229 Since Mid Nineties. The Thing I Have An Issue With Is No Adjustable Rear Sight! These Guns Are Not Cheap!

I have a West German p228 and I am trying to remove the rear sight and it's sooo stuck I can't get it out I tried using a punch and I also tried a sight pusher.
