I've had someone driving the wrong way when I've been driving also. I dont know if they knew it or not but I started flashing my high beams like crazy to get their attention. Luckily, they pulled over and someone else told them that they were going the wrong way. That was the scariest situation I've ever been in.
I know that feeling, we saw an elderly lady going the wrong way, tried everything to get to stop, she just waved at us! Someone must have got her stopped, I didn't hear of any accidents but that is a terrifying feeling of doom.
@Eric Cartman well, either a senior disoriented, someone on/off the medication, a diabetic "episode", or death by going wrong way suicide. that's a start.
Why do people who are driving the wrong way continue to drive the wrong way. Like even the road markings are clear you are going the wrong way (yellow should be on left). I've seen people going the wrong way, but they just continue even if you stop and lay on the horn... Maybe the issue is that you can get a driver's license with out having to know any english (and be able to read road signs)?
It's probably because some entrances/exits to the southern state Parkway are so close to one another, when the sun is down its pretty easy to miss the "wrong way do not enter" sign.
@@Bowlnmike long Island doesn't have nearly as many light posts as nyc. So at night time most people don't see yellow or white or whatever color they just see an entrance to enter the Parkway whether it be wrong way or not
I agree with you you as well, I was at valley stream state park last weekend and as I was leaving I almost jumped on it the wrong way just that quick trying to get back to Queens. The ramps are too close together. You have to be extra careful and mindful and no I wasn’t drinking.
