Kimura trap system. We spent 6 solid months on the kimuras. By the end we were catching kimuras from everywhere. Sweeps, back takes, submissions. The double wrist lock has it all.
Overtime I've seen fantastic and informative footage on this channel. Could you please include some techniques in closed quarters like in an elevator, a bus, between two parked cars etc. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Of course, this is the first layer of defense, a lot of times if the opponent is too tight for the underhook and/or you can't create distant to get it, and/or they've turned the corner to your back, the kimura grip can get you out of trouble.
Hey Joey! Thanks for commenting! This is a question we have a lot. Leon, the smaller dude is an exceptional uke and martial artist, which is why I use him. The Kimura has been used and documented successfully in competitions countless times. You’ll find the grip in all grappling based martial arts. Of course if you weight 140lbs and your opponent is 350lbs, and you’re in a life/death situation, extreme violence would be needed. And this video isn’t on that topic. Thanks again!
The problem I have with all of this is if a geezer bigger than me was trying to climb on me for a cuddle I would bite any bit of flesh I could and there is no way any of this would continue
@@tritacacademy it would solve a lot of grappling yes, that is why you don't bite in the competitions dude. Not negating the value of the training but the human body is very vulnerable and we forget this because of safety regulations
@@slappybagOG … the thing about biting and escalating the level of violence is that unless you kill him with your bite… what’s going to stop him from escalating too? Guaranteed if you bite someone, it may do damages, but if can’t run and it doesn’t kill him, you’re fucked if he’s the skilled grappler. There’s always the “what if” and “I can do this if you do that”, but we forget that once you take it to the next level your opponent will to, and I’d rather be the better grappler or martial artist in that situation, rather then sitting at home thinking that biting or some other illegal technique is going to solution to defeating martial arts. That being said, I fully advocate biting, gouging, ears/eyes/throat/groin attacks when needed but most people watching these videos are here for martial arts, not just bite or whatever.
@@tritacacademy yeah I'm not saying that there isn't skill. I have two black belts dude, I teach and learn too. But all of that is completely meaningless to be honest. If I was put in a choke hold by a stranger, I have no way to gauge there intent either - are they going to kill me? I'm going to assume that they will because we are not play fighting. A bite to the bicep (if you can eat a steak, that's the same level of bit force required) would leave the opponent unable to grab me with that arm, punch with that arm, his other arm would likely have to support the injured arm. We see it on play grounds - kids scrapping until someone gets fish hooked or eye gouged and then it all comes crashing to a stop. Pain reception is the be all and end all. Believe me I'm not sitting here on an assumption and I'm not devaluing any art forms, however there is not a person on the planet with murderous intent that doesn't feel pain.
Yeah that sounds great, but what if you're 170lbs and your opponent is 350lbs!? I'm going to a different plan to take him out once and for all permanently in a real life situation in ordinary life 🧐🤔🤨🤷
We call this managing to the exception… unless you’re in a movie, very rarely are you going to be attacked, and very very rarely is your attacker going to be a monster. Martial arts is much, much more than just learning how to defend yourself against your nightmares
Appreciate it! We’re in CT, USA, come visit!! Our system is a combination on BJJ, Japanese JJ, wrestling and Combatives. Our instructors all have black belts in bjj snd jjj, all wrestled, and fought in MMA and Kyokushin, along with extensive training in other arts. It’s a good mix ;)
Esta técnica no funciona si te topas con una persona fuerte como tu esto es solo funciona para aplicarlas a personas que son ignorantes de ejercicios físico e ignorantes de artes marciales
