My 2 favorite Funk Basslines are From the Group Slave and the Ohio Players. The song from the Ohio Players is ( Skin Tight) with Marshall Rock Jones On Bass. My 2nd is from the Group Slave. The song is( Just a Touch of Love) with Mark Hansolo Adams on Bass. Thank you Greg for this. Please Consider adding a Funk Course. The Group Paramore's Bass Player Jeremy Davis Played in a Funk Band and it made The Bassline from The Record (Ain't it Fun) really groove because the Bass Cuts through the mix like a true funk song. The same way that Queens (Another one Bites the Dust) Funky Basslines cut through the Mix in a Rock song. Same goes for Pink Floyds( Another Brick in the Wall)

Just Query up smooth jazz on RU-vid and any of those bass players you listen to will impress you I'm sure. You may eve end up trying some of the stuff they do.
