The gloves were great by themselves but then you added the "magic potion" and it took the sound to the next level. Surprisingly, the tingles were even greater later with the bare hands and lotion. Have never heard of the 1899 show. Looks and sounds interesting. Seems Netflix sometimes just doesn't advertise their shows very well. I enjoyed Henry Cavil as Sherlock Holmes in their Enola Holmes movies. My favorite show right now is All Creatures Great and Small. It's more of a feel good show with nice drama and humor.
