When stress overwhelms me, I find relief by doing breathing exercises in nature, especially in remote areas where I can completely relax and unwind. One technique I often use is Sama Vritti Pranayama, also known as equal breathing. This simple method involves inhaling and exhaling for the same duration, typically around four seconds. It offers numerous benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing concentration and focus, and promoting relaxation by regulating the nervous system.
We combine this exercise with diaphragmatic breathing, which is the most efficient way to breathe, allowing you to inhale more air. If you want, you can exhale with pursed lips, which can improve oxygen exchange.
