Our daughter was 4 months & 1 week old when she started crawling (seen here in video)! Walked by 7 months, running by 8 months! Now almost 6 years old & still a ball full of energy. :) Thank you for all the sweet comments.
My son is almost 4 months and he's trying really hard to crawl! He's been rolling both ways for over a month, developmentally he's way ahead. It's not bragging, your kid had an amazing milestone early. It's awesome and I'm glad you shared it! At this rate my kid will be crawling before he can sit up on his own :)
Why do some people think that all babies grow the same? They may mostly look the same at birth, but growth rate, brain development, personal interaction, thinking and so many other factors including the amount of feedings and attention play a major role in child development. I have a 4 month old daughter that I just realized can actually crawl but she's a winter baby and always has alot of clothes and pants on so she consistently slides and goes no where. When we saw that she is actually pushing herself, I was shocked. Yes, you should listen to the pediatricians and given them as much tummy time as possible when they are up. This helps muscle development as well as gives them a good reason to sleep when its nap time.
Taylee's mom....its awesome. my first son was fast too, but my second is 4 months and just started rolling over...he is 22lb at 4 months(exclusive breastfeeding) ...maybe thats why.he is super active though and talk a lot. every child has their thing.....and yours is doing hers wonderfully. Dont mind those posting stupid comments...they dont understand the joy of motherhood.
Well, most babies crawl like this at 8-10 months.....so we & our Pediatrician thought that it was "super". Plus she's my daughter so, of course I thought it was super, lol. I take it you don't have kids Oregontt....if you do, are you not proud of them and think they do "super" cute things?
@Oregontt , lol...you must not be a parent. If you were you would or SHOULD understand how proud we were of her. It's a proud moment when any baby crawls/walks for the 1st time. Every parent should be proud of this milestone!! ;)
@FrostBiteFever , That's awesome!! She walked GOOD by 7 months & 1 week and was running by 8 months. She is now 16 months & running wild, lol. On the down side, she is a very hyper baby. She has never snuggled/cuddled even as a newborn or infant, just wanted to go-go-go.
So adorable! I can't wait for my son to start crawling (he is 5 months). He is trying to but he has not learned to move his arms up so he can actually move forward lol.
that is sooo cute! i cant wait until my daughter crawls.. she's been trying since 3 months and she's four months now... she gets as far as getting her bum right up in the air, but she cant get her front up yet. hahah
My baby crawled at 4.5 months and though it was amazingly cute, it caused me to have to change my parenting gears really quickly for his safety. Gone are the day's of holding and snuggling, he is too busy for that anymore.
@rebeccawilletts, No...no clue but she walked GOOD at 7 months & 1 week...and was running by 8 months. Now she is 16 months & out of control, lol. All I knbow is that she is the most active/high strung baby I have ever seen in my life, lol. On a bad note, she has never been a cuddly baby, which upsets me. She's too focused on running around. Even as a newborn & infant, she did not cuddle. There's a down side to everything I guess.
What a cutie patootie. : ) Our now 17-year-old daughter was super coordinated from birth - she was standing her in Exersaucer at 9 weeks. She was so short, we had to put a dictionary beneath her so she could stand on something, LOL! She continued to hit all her physical milestones early and today is still very coordinated - a great shot with the BB gun, etc. Enjoy your precious little one!
If I didn't have a huge baby I would think the same. My baby is turning 4 months on Friday and going into 9 month clothes! She's huge and starting to crawl.
amutinyinheaven My third - and last - son is now 4.5mths and has started crawling a bit. His first tooth just popped through his gum today. He is wearing 9mth clothing w/ disposables and 12mth clothing with cloth diapers. My eldest son was 10lb4oz at birth and was much bigger at 4mth than my youngest is! He did not crawl until 7mths but he walked at 10mth and cut his first tooth before 3mth. My middle son walked at 9mths. They all grow SO differently :-)
+amutinyinheaven actually she only weighed 7lbs 14oz at birth so I would not call her huge, lol. There are other babies that crawled at this age, as people have posted below. It's not 'normal' but it does happen. We don't really care who believes us, this video wasn't posted for that reason. :)
@Oregontt , lol yep!! That's why I felt the need to comment on your super stupid video, lol. You sure spend alot of time on here. Thankfully, I have a life!!
Such a clever girl, I never thought it was possible for a 4 month old to crawl lol my 4 month old hates even been laid on her tummy, not even learnt how to roll yet, suppose all babies learn when they are ready.
+Tamara Carroll my son was that way also...he hated to crawl and walked on his knees until he was 1, then started walking around 1. Total opposite of my daughter seen here. :)
I was told in my Infant Care courses (before having my son) that everyone brags about how early their baby walks but crawling is actually a much more difficult and complex thing for infants to learn than walking. You go ahead and be proud of your super baby! ;)
@MrMcshane70 , lol what food??? She was 4 months old the only thing she ate was breast milk & regular formula from walmart. There was no strange growth hormones involved unless they put them in the formula.
I love this! My son is 4 months and started rolling over when he was 3 months and two weeks old not never. Every baby develops differently. He is also 4 months 16 pounds 11 oz and 26 inches long! Yes a big baby but his father is 6"5 and I'm 5"8 every baby is different. Some babies develop quicker than others. My friend has a daughter a week younger than my son and she can not do half the things he can do because she just is not ready. She will be soon though. Stop judging and saying this is impossible when it is !
Aww bless her cottons, my Son has just started crawling at 7 months old... hes been pretty advanced apart from the crawling... he pretty much is like a frog lol he prefers being on his feet though. You should be proud :) I know for sure im 100% proud of my son and the best thing is... i can say its down to me hes so clever because his useless father walked out when he was a month old.
@YuselinMaikel4ever , Thanks!! It's our baby so we are proud of her as parents should be of their kids. I guess most ppl just don't get that feeling about their kids, lol. I'm glad you liked the video & understand where we are coming from. ;)
Yes, that's another down fall, they don't want to sit & cuddle w/ mommy because they are too busy crawling at 4 months....not cool. :( I missed out on alot of snuggle time with my daughter & she was our last so, I wasn't happy about that.
My daughter did the same crawled at 4 months walked at 6 ran by 8 months Too bad I didn't have a. Video like this to prove it but it is true.Se is 15 now and 5'10 Also I didn't push her she did it herself
Thankyou :) Actually I wish my daughter would have waited. They are a handful if they do things early. She has been non stop since 4 months old when she started crawling, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, lol.
Awww! Did you always do tummy time? My daughter,is 3 months going into 4 month and she does not enjoy tummy time at all, i got the play mat and toys and still nope... She lays on her back and lifts her heads up and roll to her sides. Any advice??
+Jessica Pech We did do a lot of tummy time. She refused to stay on her tummy though...she wanted to go! lol - I don't like that she crawled so early and then walked very early....I wish she hadn't, she was into everything and when we'd go shopping she wanted down to crawl or walk, so that made it hard on us. She's now 5 and still very active! Thank you :)
@MyBlackPoop, Well most babies don't so that is nothing unusuall. She was just wanting to go-go-go. Very hyper active. If I could have chose for her not to crawl early I certainly would have because she started walking at 7 months & 1 week & running by 8 months....a big handful for us!! It's better if they don't crawl this early, alot easier on mom!! lol
dont waste your energy defending your videos. Just delete the BS. I think your baby is amazing for crawling at that age. If people dont like certain videos they shouldn't click on them in the first place.

My baby boy started crawling age 3 and half months. I am not too happy about it, cause he is now 5 old and has fallen of the bed too many time for his age. He is really fast, and has to be watched 24 7. A hard live.
that's pretty common. my kid rolled at 6 days old and a ton of times since and started crawling at about a week under 4 months. on top of that he was born three weeks early. now that's amazing and yes i have vid proof but i have no idea why people post stuff like this to brag or whatever. every child develops at different rates.
