Hey DIY friends! Guys today I will be doing an update video on my Dollar Tree peel and stick backsplash. I installed this into my bathroom and immediately fell in love with this product. Not only did these products take my budget but it was very easy to install.
I will also be posting a removal video of these towels from my walls as every product claims to not damage the walls but that is not true. We will see if these Dollar Tree peel and stick tiles will ruin my walls or keep them looking how they do.
You can utilize these towels and a bathroom, a kitchen, or any wall or surface you just want to get a subway tile look.
Please be sure to share this video with anyone interested in these Dollar Tree peel and stick tiles.

In case anyone comes across these comments wanting to get these, these look SO much better when you cut off the half squares. Still cheaper than real tile or Home Depot peel and stick. Seriously just use scissors and cut the half squares and then they fit perfectly/look real.

I saw a guy use adhesive spray to make the two parts stick better and not buckle. He used them in his kitchen . Around the stove can get steamy, so maybe try that before applying. I am definitely going to try that when I apply these.

I used these behind my electric stove top in my kitchen. Because I tried cutting them to fit the wall, the sticky backing was coming off so I just ripped them off. I ended up taping them to a poster-board (the super thin ones, not sure what they're called haha) and then used Command strips to hold the entire thing. I've only had one corner come off maybe once or twice, and once in a while I have to rub them back on my wall, but overall they've been great! I've been wanting to redo it for a while now though or even do an entirely different backsplash DIY. If I redo them I'm gonna extend it beyond just sitting behind my stove and cover the rest of the wall under the cabinets and possibly use thick poster board so it doesn't "bubble" so to speak!

I have a ton of these as I usually buy them when I am at the DT. However, I plan to secure them to either a thin sheet of plastic or wood and then using small nails on the corners and middle, applying it to my wall. That way if for any reason the adhesive back sticks to the drywall, it won't damage my actual wall. Thx for the update b/c other RU-vidrs don't provide an update.....

ALWAYS use contact cement (glue) both sides BEFORE installing.. they will NEVER come down... the wall behind it will have to be removed to get these down... Contact cement can be sprayed on or brushed, rolled on... Wait for it to dry, then place the tile. If you make a mistake, you're screwed, it wont come backup, without tearing up the wall... so be PREFECT the first time.

Uggg.. someone installed these in my home previously about 2 years ago as a kitchen backsplash. I hated them from the start. They've been falling off and bulging like you showed in your video since the beginning. They look fake, and they were a huge pain to remove. They pulled paint off the wall all over and left sticky spots too. I somehow cut myself with the plastic when pulling them to remove it too. I finally got a hair dryer out to help me remove them. Medium heat back and forth motion while I'm pulling did the trick. Big thumbs down for these for me. I wish they would have just left it painted. Now to figure out a budget friendly backsplash other than dollar tree peel and stick tiles.... Anyone have any other ideas?

Wish you would have shown us the downstairs tiles... Thanks for the update though

I poked small holes in the back and filled them with glue to stop that bubbly effect- when they where dry after about 2 weeks they worked good but it really wasn't worth having 8 of them sat out flat and curing for that amount of time but I was already dedicated by then😢

Definitely a great budget friendly alternative to what they have in Home Depot and Lowe’s. I thought about using these but didn’t know how well they would do, thanks for the review on these.
