A friend does newspaper delivery on a rural route. 100 miles every night. 400,000 miles is no biggie for him and he’ll do that in a few years. He loves finding cars with 100,000 miles on it because dealers are always trying to get them off their lots.

Weird seeing snow on the ground when here in western Ohio, so far there's only been a bit of snow about a week before Thanksgiving and there hasn't been more than 2 days below freezing since. That said, where you are at is raining with snow on the ground and I'm definitely familiar with that. We get a fair few muddy or snowless Christmas here.

Weather's been pretty much the same as yours here in Eastern Canada. Just an inch or so of snow so far this Winter and yesterday was the 1st really cold day. So you Americans who think the Canada has freezing temperatures and tons of snow, it's the same as in the US, depends where you are. Where I am in Nova Scotia it rarely gets below -10 C/14F.

Hey Post! I watched another channels video today about the differences between snow chains and snow socks. I'm a Florida girl, so I don't know much about anything when it comes to driving in the snow. It made me think of this video of yours. I remember you talking about some of the issues you were having with your chains and surprisingly, in comparison, the snow socks were cheaper, easier to install, offered better traction, and allowed the vehicle to stop faster. Plus, they wont get metal shavings all over your bed! Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you if you were looking for another option. They are under $100 on Amazon. I also saw a suggestion for snow chains. If you keep an air infiltrator in the car with you, when installing the chains, they recommended letting out some of the air pressure, putting the chains on as tight as possible and then reinflating the tires. That sounded like a good idea, but again, Florida girl, so I don't know but I wanted to share this info with you so you stay safe while driving around through those icey roads. I love seeing the locations you go too. It's unlike anything we have here, or anything I've seen. One of your recent videos at a beaver lake, I'm not sure if it was snowing, or if the light was just bouncing off the ice on the plants, but everything looked like it was sparkling and I was just in awe. It was so beautiful! Thanks for sharing moments like that with us! Stay safe and warm and have a great New Year!
@post.10
@post.10 Год назад
I have a pair of studded snow tires on the vehicle already and it barely does anything on ice, I don't know how well a snow sock would work but it doesn't really have anything that digs into the ice so I'm going to stick with chains that digging really deep. What I am using is cold a cleated chain, very aggressive. My vehicle isn't meant to run chains that's why I was having a slight problem with it but I'm going to get it lifted just 2 in and it should solve the entire problem with clearance, thanks for watching

They should use the downed trees to make crude planks, lay them across the roads, chip the waste, and spread it on the road. If it was done once a year or two eventually the road will have drainage under the road surface and a solid pack once it settled with the mixture of planking and a shred/chip wood filler. It'd be a very low maintenance road once established in a few to 5 years. With a self supplied material so close by that it pretty much deletes a delivery charge. Idk if I'm missing how that wouldn't work. Good Eagle Scout or that kind of organizations style project.
