Hi Anita, back to you again. A few questions to ask if you could kindly take out the time to answer. 1. one of the zz plants the leaves are curling up . I have not watered but soil is not dry. Is it because of little cold . 2. The calathea , since two days the leaves are not folding at night, what could be the reason for this. Loads of thanks to you.
zz plant - check drainage holes of your pot . In winter rate of evaporation & consumption of water & nutrients decreases drastically in tropical & sub tropical plants , being Native to tropical areas, ZZ plants prefer warmer weather conditions . In cold weather zZ plants leaves become wrinkled , and it’s a common problem unless more then 50% of leaves are showing signs of stress . 2. Calathea May be it is due to some kind of light exposure during night or due to cold temperature plant is in stress and having some adaptation issues .
My angel , yes you are right . zz had cold issue , shown it filtered sunshine. The leaf is happy now. Calathea was very thirsty , its beautifully saying its prayer at night now. hahahahha..... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. @@gardeningaesthetics
I have 19:19:19 and 0:0:50 , neem khali and seaweed liquid fertiliser and neem oil for spray and vermicompost. Do I need to buy Epsom salt and bone meal and seaweed granules
No , I think Epsom salt is an over hyped thing . bone meal is good for almost all plants . If you have liquid sea weed then granules are nothing but a different form .if you don’t want to use bone meal use til ki khali or sesame cakes or til water in your plants
