1995 Emerald City OB California, this song started our night. We were sittin around the bar, drinkin drinks 😜 Then this song comes on BUT it’s different? What a dance mix!! Then SMOKE!!! OHHH it’s time to dance!! We all rush to the dance floor, all 100 of us on this tiny but mighty dance floor. And we do it!! We pump the sky in the smoke, it’s awesome!! You FEEL the energy!! It’s electric!!⚡️
It was the month of May of 1995. I was only 15 y/o. I’d never been to a night club before, they was my first time. One of my best friends from high school had invited me to hang out with him at that club. They were playing this version of the song when we entered the facility. I was in seventh heaven to hear this song playing. I had a blast on that night. Those were fabulous years, but now is even better 👍😀😀 beautiful memories that I will always keep in my mind!
me too, i heard this one first and loved it. Later when i heard the slower original i liked it okay, but always preferred this one for the most part. (though in certain moods i like the other best on those days) so...was this comment back and forth or what. lol. but srsly..this one usually!
I'm 58 years old today and danced to this song in the Palladium/pleasuredome dance place when I was living in the San francisco bay area in the early 1990's in my mid 30's and kept in great shape ever since. I will keep on listening to this song to keep all my limbs in tip top shape til I drop dead many decades from now.
+Pauley Pavillion I think I was 17 when I got one of those "Now" CDs from Wal-Mart and this song was on it. As far as I remember, that was the best "Now" dance CD I ever bought. I had to hear this song again. Its been almost 20 years.
This was the song my cheerleading squad did our dance routine too in the 90s.. Multiple Flips. Back handsprings, tumbles.. Crowd went wild. Great memories. 🎉
I grew up in the 90's and I remember my brother Jordan getting Club Mix 97 and Jock Jams Volumes 1 and 2, for Christmas of 1997 and I remember I played these songs over and over again. I love this song.
Thank you... i was needing to hear this version.. I used to drive ... I'm diabetic now and lost most my sight and most my proper feeling in my legs feet and toes from neuropathy so i can't drive anymore.. . :( But i had a delco tape deck radio that i got from a junk yard off an olds mobile and installed it in the ford... a power driver amp and 2 speakers at the dash two in the front doors two in the back doors and two bass driver speakers at the rear window panel.. in my old 77 ford and i used to pump this sht man....
My mom and dad used to meet at the disco, and every time my mom saw my dad, this was up. Now, this god-awful dance mix is their love song. Seventeen years of marriage, baby!
A song that reminds me of my school days. The 90s.. a song that brings back the most beautiful memories of my youth. The dance music of the 90s is the best of all time.. I never thought that in 2024 I would still be Listening to the most beautiful song of my teenage years. Who is here in the 90s generation?? come forward guyzzzz... this is our legend dance music.. in our wonderfull awesome era..🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Temas que fueron echos para siempre mas sin envalgo un dembow de hoy en dia solo dura un mes y para el olvido este temaso tiene años y sigue como nuevo
I live in the mid-west and there is a few K-Marts left. They haven't updated their music list since 1997. I was in there a few months ago and this version is still playing.
This is the first version of the song I heard. The radio station here started playing this version at first. Then for some unknown reason they stopped and started playing the original version. Although I remember the radio station gave me a free copy of this single when I visited their studios.
greetings folks, i got to like this song due to senses8. the mix of the song into the episode was good. i cannot stand disc jockeys that take high center stage. what is with that? kindly do not reply to this comment if you are going to be asinine about it like most of you folks making comments. be good. be well.
Same for me. This was the first version of the song I had ever heard. I heard this version at the University Christmas Balls in 1992 / 1993, when I danced with this song.
I will forever remember that this song and "No rain" came out the same summer my father died. Just in case someone needed a boost. Lol I still love it tho. I was also 14
I haven't heard about 4 non blondes until I heard what's up on the radio once or twice. Then...I found the he man song after I listened to the original. Now I can never see what's up the same way again
After the love of my life passed from terminal cancer, I was left to raise two tots. She left at 30 in March. I turned 30 the next month. I went hermit mode for quite some time. With life insurance and SSI I didn't need to work. Concentrating on raising the rats and traveling the world when it suited. Finally, some friends insisted I go out with them. After some time and persuasion, I agreed. Where did we end up? Neighbors in Seattle, WA I must have had a drink or two, not something I did often. This song came on. Holy shit! In less than a minute I was on the dance floor doing whatever might be loosely interpreted as dancing. Even though I've never partnered again, I've never regretted being my true self. Those three little bitches knew more about me than I knew myself.
This song is the anthem of summer. Our local amusement part, my apartments swimming pool my mom used to take my sister and I, and my cousins all come to mind when I hear this damn song😂. Classic
This was my intro to the great song. I knew a DJ on the scene, and it was only after we got to know each other that he hit me with white label "releases" and asked my opinion. I liked all the ones he played. I actually preferred this compared to the original.
I forgot that this dance mix was done by the 4 Non Blondes...I thought it was done by La Bouche, but I was totally wrong. This dance mix I remember listening to years ago and in my middle school years of the late 2000s.
walkman ,tapes and non rechargeable batteries.....what a goog period of my life.... regret these times...could walk on the streets with volume to max without caring for traffic
