tdot22 this ain’t supposed to be deep fried, infact it require minimal oil, to make sure the batter doesn’t stick to the pan. The one in the video is a street version, so obviously it’s gonna be greasy. We don’t cook like that at home

You eat whatever you feel like. But you definitely have 0 knowledge of Indian cuisine. The generic description you give is limited to restaurants. No one eats that way at home. Moreover Indian food is so diverse, there is no single definition of Indian food. We have places where people don’t even use oil in their food. At home nobody cooks anything with more than 2 table spoon of oil. The food is a balance between all favours and nutrients. I don’t know where you come from, but you are definitely not an Indian and hence your arguments are ignorant.

For e.g. If you may have heard about indian sweet RASOGOLLA(NECTAR BALL TO BE LITERAL), it is made of chhaini(milk product made from whetting cottage cheese), first of all, all milk products are made of counterfeit milk, and a kg rasogolla may cost from rupees 200 per kg, i.e. Around 3 dollars is starting price, and they pay rent(for 50 square foot rent may be depending on the area, but is not less than ₹15k to ₹20k, plus labour cost of ₹6k to ₹10k depending on his expertise, commercial electricity bill of ₹5 to ₹8 per unit kwh, you can just add the costs, and amount of profit he needs to make to cover his costs and take home some earnings) alternatively, if sweet shops use genuine full cream milk, it costs rs. 52/litre, and yields a paneer(cottage cheese) around 250 grams. so simple paneer is worth more than rs.200, excluding even the heating costs, and you are getting 1 kg rasogolla around 200₹ anywhere, including the above mentioned costs. it is humanly impossible to sell it below 350-400₹/kg in mass producing big shops, if done using genuine milk. my acquaintance is supplying counterfeit paneer@₹90-120/kg depending on season. chhaina is around ₹150/kg. and milk used is wholly counterfeit, using only 10 percent original milk for base, other ingredients are soap detergent for creamy texture, singhaade ka aata(water caltrop in english) for thick layer of cream and many other things. Another e.g. You would have heard gol gappa, price on delhi streets is ₹20 per 6 gol gappa. But the entire cost to make them doesn't exeed 10 paisa, so for every ₹0.60 spent, he is earning ₹19.40, that you can count how much he is earning, plus that pays for police bribes. around ₹10k/month and his take home earnings. No street food is healthy as it may seem elsewhere. Quality of material used is not even sub standard, it is trash. If you land up in india, take time to go to weekly vegetable markets, ask a tomato vendor why he has seperated trash tomatoes, he may hitch to speak to a white skin, tell a local to do that, straight away reply will be that they are meant for dhaba(eateries serving curries meal). So do youself a favour and stop following these food channels, they donot know what goes behind the scenes in food industry in india. Most lucrative government department here in india for bribes is health department. Blatant counterfeiting and killing of people's body going on in open, nobody to give even a damn. And happy indians and foreigners advertising murderous ventures. also the samosas and tikkis you very well fill your stomachs in evening stalls are most of the times fried in lard(pig fat), costing one tenth the cost of vanaspati ghee(hydrogenated vegetable oils), millionth the cost of genuine desi ghee, imported duly from china, sold as vanaspati ghee, supplied to ignorant indians who are ready to abuse anyone who tells them the truth.

As a person from Assam I'm not used to the real Chole Bhature found in Delhi. My stomach didn't agree 😅 as it had too much spices for a breakfast meal, but it was tasty nonetheless.

Experimentation is good but Pizza somasa , chocolate samosa isn't that good. Traditional samosa with potato filling is the best.

The shown four are here probably because they're not traditional, but new and innovative. And even as a local, my luck has never dragged me to any of the places. But if you were to come down here in search of traditional food, you won't be disappointed.

Traditional food is everywhere in India, around every corner. These people are being appreciated for being innovative.

You can find lot of different instant noodles in India. If you visit Any tier 1 or tier 2 cities there are some supermarkets like big bazaar, reliance fresh or d-mart where you will find Thai, Indonesian and Japanese instant noodles easily. There are plenty of Thai restaurants as well. You will also find many normal restaurant serving Thai cuisine along with others. Although some might not serve beef. But you’ll get every other meat and sea food options. There are food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy which I use personally use to order Thai food. My favourite being ka pao kai.

India's food is definitely great - at least in the parts of India where they eat vegetarian. The west has made great achievements in vegetarian foods over the last 20 years, but India has been perfecting it for thousands of years. If everyone ate like the vegetarian Indians do, we would be able to save our forests and significantly slow down global warming.
