Yes yes yes!! I JUST preached on “ecclesia” last week. So good 👍 Part of the message was the premise that the word ‘church’ is not an accurate representation of all that “Ecclesia” means - which is why is is translated as ‘assembly’ and not ‘church’ 3 times (at the end of Acts 19) out of the 118 times ecclesia appears. This is awesome mate. I am SO KEEN to learn EVERYTHING that this word entails.. this is the key to unlocking our mandate as His body in this time (before His return). @@cjmskv In William Tyndale’s English version (before KJV) he translated Ekklesia as “congregation”. The focus being on the people, not a building. Is also translated “assembly” in Hebrews 2:12. The history of the word “church” does actually refer to the building where worship is done. Is a bad translation of Ekklesia
