Hey coach, I watched a lot of your videos and I'm hyped about DBs in football. Lately I've been thinking about applying for a DB position in HS (varsity) but I'm unmotivated. I never had any real competitive experiences playing football and this is my final year to really experience being a DB. Because I never had a football background/experience I think it's unreasonable for me to start this late or have a good time playing competitively.
Change your way of thinking. It's never too late and you will be motivated making up for lost time while others are taking their career for granted. Football rewards people who have something to prove
My favourite is cover 3 cloud. 2 safeties and a corner cover the deep, and the second corner covers the flat at strongside. On my first game at safety i had two deflections on the cloud side, and forced sideline fumble on a run.
