What What a great historian and a great writer. I just love his books. He went further than any other medievil historian. He was an amazing man. It's very sad indeed that he is no longer with us and is a great loss. I was thinking about him today.

Many people seem to have taken a dislike to Philipa Langley who, for some reason, seems to think resurrecting Richard of Yorks skeleton and character is the most important thing in the world..More important, she loses credibility by going into denial when she hears something that fails to fit her own rather weird template of the man..Assuming Richards had nothing to do with the demise of Edwards children were never brought to book. It seems Richard did nothing to find his own nephews killers.

The reason why he had planned the princes to be murdured he did this by removing the boys he would take the crown and throne for himself and be named king in secrecy by his nobles the boys were found during a renovation in the tower i cannot see this a here say king richard being found should go to phillipi and be credited for the time team helping in finding the battle and the dead they were all piled up except for richard who was buried in the church before it was tore down time team was there for that excavation

I really cringed when I saw Phillipa’s reaction on the TV show when they revealed the curve in Richard’s spine. Having said that I’ve since read she was initially told he was indeed a hunchback and her immediate response was if the Tudor’s were correct in the fact he was a hunchback it would suggest to most people that their account of Richard was true. She’s desperately trying change Richards reputation and she saw that moment as a big blow to that effort. She got a call the following day to say it was scoliosis which she said changed her outlook and made more sense as it tallied with the sources about Richard. Can’t fault her for her results but I found her reactions uncomfortably to watch. I suspect some of it will be editing though.

Dr Ashdown-Hill was ESSENTIAL, his hard work and research combined w/ Phillipa's heart, fiery passion and belief made finding King Richard the 111 possible. and it feels to me like the University of Leicestershire wants to control the narrative and sweep them under the carpet. RIP Dr Hill. I was able to buy a DVD from England and still it did not honor him enough his contribution and research leading up to even engaging the university. The scene where they drape the box with the bones with the flag of king Richard the third has been omitted. The original documentary which I was able to watch on RU-vid as an American here in the USA is gone and included that scene. I think it's obvious why but anyway I don't sleep well I have really bad insomnia PTSD from a violent attack at a doctors office in New York City over 9 years ago and the doctor's office got the Jeffrey Epstein Ghislaine maxwelll Teflon treatment and now more crimes in my case.... nyc nys the corruption the abuse of power and fraud gaslighting my case did not stop there it's been years and years including committing fraud in court lying in all courts so far and perjury. So I'm really tired I can't even write without terrible typos bu... t I always return to the story because The University of Leicestershire unlike Dr A and Phillipa, did not even believe they would find King Richard the third...Phillipa believed and with the support and research of Dr Ashdown-Hill ....the rest is history. I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes many reasons to 'bury' the original documentary including one of many is ..... I AM GUESSING (my brain tired) Dr Ashdown-Hill may have wanted king Richard's burial wishes to be honored. It's understandable why do University was/is opposed to the Richard's wishes...that but scrubbing the original documentary is wrong and I think there's a lot more to why that was scrubbed. Anyway I love that documentary so much it's not that I'm a Ricardian I'm just someone who wants to get to the truth who wants justice and believes in longshots and that's such an incredible story it's so amazing.
@Ionabrodie69

It Wasn’t only Dr Hill that wanted to honour Richards wishes..Phillipa also fought for it.. and lest you forget if it wasn’t for Phillipa the king would not have been found…. !! he should have been Re interred at York.😢 Richard was happiest whilst in North Yorkshire Middleham , and he was well loved in general in the North.. I did not forget there's no doubt about Philippa. That was why I joined the club because I was so impressed with her but there's no doubt that she use the research of people like John and I I can't remember the name of the woman there were some women researcher that had pinpointed Richard the third's grave accurately as well and then Philippa use that research but anyway, I admire her achievement and her passion there's no doubt about it
