Sometime my car won't start in park. But after release the battery and wait for about 10 seconds, then connect the battery then it start as normal. Is it one of the sign of bad neutral safety switch?
I have this problem in a 2006 mustang gt manual. I replaced both clutch switches & beint told manuals do not have a neutral safety switch. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.
My 1998 dodge durango did a no crank no start 2 days ago. I shifted it down to 1st and back up to park still no crank no start when I put it into neutral after that it started right up. I'm thinking neutral safety switch it's starting to fail I'm not sure though
I have a question hopefully you see this but I have a 2001 Honda prelude it’s cranks but it doesn’t start I’ve checked everything I’ve checked timing I’ve checked spark plugs battery is good injectors are good fuel pump is brand new it’s like if it’s not getting any fuel to the injectors maybe one or 2 but besides that nothing
My auto park on my rv is inguaging when I put it in rnd21 pretty much anything but park it supposed to only come on when in park and I'm not sure what to do tbh😅
Think this is my problem that i bypassed to start i ran 2 wires back up in my dash and added a switch there connected to my starter relay in my fuse box..So as long as i turn key over and flip switch at the same time i can start my truck and immediately switch it off so starter disengages..Also have a code for bad transmission range sensor..So must be this
My 99 superduty is stuck in Park. It starts up, brake lights work, but its jammed in park and i don't want to horse it and snap something. Honestly the transmission needs a rebuild so is it just dead now? Is there like an interlock somewhere that keeps me from shifting? Ii really dont want to thow $80 at a sensor if the transmission is just grenaded. Help!

Can this knock out my speedometer too? 4r100 99 F350 shifts all goofy. If i run it in and out of park a few times itll start shifting fine again and the speedometer starts working. Then it seems to cut out randomly again while driving.
A dirty transmission filter will and what i just told that other person. Is in the past when you do put it in d or r your taking off before the transmission kicks in gear so its to late now there's damage and next time when both of you do put it in d or r wait their and let the vehicle switch into gear before you take off i tell my dad what i told yall And his truck needs a new front differential now
Hello sir, I have problem with reverse light don’t come on when I put the gear in R. I have a bmw e60 automatic gearbox. I have used a scanner to activate the backup light and they come on. Do you know it is a backup light switch on automatic gearbox on Bmw ?? Or what could be the problem? Thank you
But when the girls select I can drive to anywhere but when I parked the car for like 2 hours and I wants to go again I will need to wait for sometime what can cause the issue
Please someone help with a suggestion . I have the code P0705 A Circuit Gear sign and battery light on . The car can start in all Positions P,R,D,N .and when it starts it doesnt show which gear the car on the dashboard. instead I get transmision sign with the exclamation mark in Orange and this is when I can drive the car almost normally and the car can go reverse and from second up and up but with no first gear and parking sensors are not beeping nor reverse lights working .but if I dont see the transmision fault sign, the car go only in first gear up 20km ph and doest change to second gear and up and no reverse . I changed the transmission range sensor and bought a new battery and tested alternator with a specialist and said its fine which leaves me frustrated . The car is BMW e46 325i / 2001

My D blinks/ flashes occasionally. Tried scanning and didn't record any fault codes. So, I decided to have the car scanned when the D was flashing without putting off the engine and the code error is P0706. Everywhere I have read about the flashing D no one every mentioned this error code. Meanwhile, the Honda Pilot 2006 drives perfectly and shift into gears smoothly. Please, someone help, what do I do to fix the D flashing issue. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks in advance.
Yea my car works fine and everything it’s just after 8-10k miles after driving it since I got it I got a check engine light on my dash and won’t go away and just got it scanned for at AutoZone and it said a neutral safety switch is it worth the 100$ just installing a new safety switch even though everything is fine or get it installed because the check engine light is on it’s definitely not my gas cap I always tighten it up
And did you have any effects on driving due to the sensors needing to be replaced im asking because i want to buy this ford focus with the same problem but not sure if that a be a good idea
Would a 77 Chevy Nova th200 transmission have a safety switch? Okay so for some reason my reverse goes forward and also when a neutral. If I turn off the car in neutral it will roll. But when it's engaged in neutral it will stay as if it was in park or start to drive forward.
