Thanks Mckenzie for this video! I really liked the last part "What does the value mean to you?" That was very helpful. As of right now mine are: 1) Satisfaction - Doing all I can do, doing my best, surrendering to God 2) Happiness - Feeling good physically, choosing to be happy regardless of circumstances, exercising control over my attitude 3) Adventure - Seeing new things, traveling to new places, gratitude/appreciation for it all 4) Love - Seeing the best in people, making people happy/feel good about themselves, receiving the goodness of people 5) Protection - I'm able to deal with any external or internal challenge, I feel safe and secure, I'm physically/mentally/etc strong 6) Abundance - I'm grateful, I'm resourceful, I have faith the universe/God will meet my needs
Thank you Mckenzie. I will add that you must have priority among your top 10 values and by that I mean if there is a conflict between 2 values which one you will choose and make your decision in life according to. If you have your first three values as: 1- family 2- work 3- health 4- ... then you found yourself working long hours that it affected your health for example. which one will you chose? As you see there is a conflict, should you work hard or take more care of your health? as one will affect the other, one must be more important to you, then lets say you choose to take care of your health even if your work life is affected, that is your #1 priority. The first 3 values will govern 80% of your choices in life so choice them carefully as conflict will arise later. How to prioritize them? Get excel sheet and put all 10 values in columns and rows then compare one value from each row to all values in columns and ask yourself this question " is (value in row) more important than (each value in column ) ...?" create a situation or scenario in your mind that these two values conflict each other and had to choose only one of then. choose according to your true value deep inside not what you wish it to be. If your answer is yes put 1 in the intersection cell if no leave it blank and do this to all of the values in the column and remember you compare 1 value of one row to all values in columns. do not switch them, 1 row then all columns. Then prioritize them according to how many ones each value (row) have. These are your true core values then you can keep them if you are satisfied or change there priority or even add new ones that you want them to be in your values.Take all the time you need even if it take a month to do it, as it will show you your true current core values in life. Some core values prioritized [ for you to adopt if you want :) ] 01- Inner Peace 02- Awareness 03- Love and Passion 04- Health 05- Family 06- Joy 07- Freedom 08- Adventure 09- Abundance 10- Success Peace

Why is happiness not a core value? a career can be a value in your life, right? if that is important to you. so it could make a big difference if you value career above happiness or the other way.
Happiness and love are emotions, but they can also be values. Living a life guided by love sounds amazing. Sign me up for a world where love is the core value!!!
Thank you so much, it has been hard to find my 4 core values now that I am 67. From top to bottom: 1. Body and mental health 2. Curiosity 3. Independence 4. Challenge I find they are very similar to yours. But they are only words, it is important part 4, so I find what they mean form me. For example, body and mental health includes for me: I will make exercise, I will eat healthy food, I will include love , gratitude and happiness in everything I do, I will declutter and make everything simple, I will try to know myself and others, I will love and forgive myself and others, etc.
Hi McKenzie I’m experiencing some depression at the moment. I’m getting psychological treatment at the moment. I figured I needed to establish my core values to help see what I’m about, and hopefully guide me toward healing. 1) Peace 2) simplicity 3) calm 4) Acceptance 5) reliability 6) Awareness

Thank you so much for this video! I realised today that i lost the connection with my true inner self and i could not find out what my core values were. Now i worked on my list and i have 4 beautiful values that align with me perfectly. I am deeply grateful to you!
Great. I did not fancy the video in the beginning, but as I listened more I gained respect and now I subscribed and activated notifications. I think I could immediately pick up that our personality types are not naturally harmonised, we are opposites in some respects, but I totally get what you mentioned about your type, and I value you for that, I think you are great.
not going to lie i really wasn’t expecting much from this video it just was shorter than most but honestly just you showing what a core value is and how to break it down i learned a lot about myself that i never realized i had mapped out. kudos to you!
Listing a bunch of traits and virtues as core values is only moderately useful. To REALLY clarify what is important to YOU, you need to reflect on what specifically gets you emotional. What you have done that never felt like work. What comes effortlessly to you. What inspires you. What pieces of music or other experience make you cry tears of joy. AND you must be as specific as you can be. Journaling can be incredibly helpful with this.
Thank you for the helpful video Mckenzie. Your talk really resonated with me. After quite a lot of reflection, I've identified my top five core values as follows: Mental health Excellence Honesty/Authenticity Connection Learning & Growth
Thanks for the great video! My questions are: 1. I can't get the list below 10, but it seems too many, is there any ideal number? 2. One day I feel ths is the top, nex day that priority, but cannot fix prio, is that normal? How to fix priority? 3. A few depends on the other or next values, is this case are they just one Ie Honesty and Accountability, what I think = what I say = what I do, hard to differentiate. Same with Brave and Confidence, confidence is a byproduct when I'm brave, direct cosequence. In these cases, are they 2 or just 1 value? I call 2 value metavalues, referring to other values like Freedom because without them, the rest don't make any sense. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance
wow sooo useful thanks a lot new subscriber and I do the list, and got six values;- Honour, I noticed that I have an excessive jealousy problem because of this the win, I am so afraid of losing Accuracy, and because of that I am a very skeptical person and this I like Independence, I don't trust the effort of anyone but myself Progress, I'm the type who regrets a lot if I make a mistake, so I evolve and change Peace, I never want to be annoying to someone
If you value simplicity, would this video not be minimal and straightforward? I am not being rude, but ask this, as to whether you are being honest with your own values.
Many of our core values are actually unconscious and here comes Astrology as a great tool of support, because it shows what our core values are and when we sit with it and live accordingly to them we just build self-love rapidly. I made a video on how to define core values through a natal chart: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u9ErxEnQ_1E.html
To me, Core values are what you actually do day to day that you don’t need pushing to do. Ie if you love to play music, sport or operate your business set your life around that. That’s what your life demonstrates. These re just things in my opinion and to set a goal to achieve simplicity as life is both simple and complicated at all times will ultimately be self defeating. as life has an inherent balance of both. Go do what you love is true value honouring.
You bullshiting about ur opinion. What play music with for example a schizophrenia mysophonia and busniess value to honor at a pathologtical lier?? Yu 12 yo
