Such a beautiful message. Praise God! Feel pain in my heart for those advenists who leave church because of the Trinity doctrine. They go to the darkness, really. How sad :-(
What an encouraging an uplifting sermon! It made so much sense to me! I was having trouble understanding the Godhead, but listening to this topic and the previous 3, it has brought me so much understanding and clarity! With divine guidance, studying of His word and careful consideration (test all things hold fast to what is good 1 Thess 5:21) I have been convicted that what he speaks of is the Truth. Praise the Lord for someone who speaks in a way I understand!
Thank you and may you and yours be blessed with all manner of wonderful blessings in Jesus name and with no sorrow added to it. May the glory go to God and may you be ever further enriched by it.
@ candice Ellen White was hardly a "child" she was 17 years old, and was not the only one called by God....but she was the only one willing to be a vessel of God. She was not wrapped up in the fashion of the day nor was she striving to be popular, she dedicated her life to God and His leading. Jesus said that we were to become as little children, trusting in God and listening to Him, she started her 5 book series with "God is Love, and ended it with God is Love".
@ Becky Someone apparently removed prior statement, which make my reply look like I'm referring to the sermon. I completely agree with Pastor Asserick. :)
We will see when the Lord comes if you are right you will be there but if you are wrong God help you . As for me I believe she is a Profit she did so much good for mankind and took nothing out of it .
This is a response the Jahdiel Newman. I don't see the contradiction and I also think you are correct. God is love without needing anyone else. What makes Him Love is that He in Himself is not rigidly singular but He is more than 1: He is 3 in 1. So yes, He needs no one outside of Himself to be considered Love because by His very nature He is enough. Does that make sense? It does to me but I'm open to your view on it.
There isn't a contradiction at all; in fact, what you mentioned is the very point. If GOD was a rigidly singular entity, HE couldn't 'be' love until HE created something...but there must have been a time when there was nothing - no created beings - no angels - no nothing...but just God, so HE would have had to be a plurality for HIM to be love.
How can any 'being' truly love in isolation especially with nothing 'the focus' of that love? Sure I 'love' my golf clubs & motorcycle, but if I choose not to have a partner or kids & further choose to live in a monastry as a monk sworn to silence... most would wither & die of 'broken hearts'.

you saying that God needs to be showing love in order to be love. limited His character of being love and depending on His works toward others. the statement asscherick states is making lite the character of God. God IS love, not only loving which is what you are saying He is.
He said , God IS LOVE by nature not because He is loving but then turn around and said He is Love because He is Loving to 2 other beings??? contradiction
you are actually saying that God needs other to show love to in order for Love to be HIS characteristic. This is limiting to God as to WHO HE IS. This is WHO GOD IS WITHOUT NEEDING ANYTHING. DAvid contradicts on this point saying its NOT the fact that He is LOVING but then turns around and says its because He is LOVING to the other members of the Godhead, smh not good, contradiction and limiting Gods character. God did not Learn Love by Loving others, He IS LOVE. This man contradicts
