I've decided to make this video since some people quite often mistakenly refers the Schindler 3300 as 5500 or vice versa.
1. Logic
On 3300 elevators, the inside arrow does not appear when the elevator moves, instead it will appear when the elevator stops and the doors open. On 5500 elevators, well, it's the opposite; it will appear when the elevator moves and disappear when the elevator stops and the doors open.
2. Door Sound
This is easy. Schindler 3300 does not have a door motor because the door equipment is supplied by Sematic Group. Schindler 5500 does have a door motor sound because the door equipment is supplied by Wittur Group.
3. Start & Stop Sound
This might be difficult to hear in some of these elevators. On Schindler 3300, just before the doors open there will be a little "click" noise. It can also be heard before the elevator starts moving. On Schindler 5500, there will usually be two clicking sounds after the doors open or before the elevator starts.
4. MRL Control Box
This is very easy to compare. Schindler 3300 control box is positioned in the door frame and it is very thin. Schindler 5500 control box is positioned right next to the elevator door and it is larger.
