Great video - question I haven’t been able to find an answer to: can you use AVD within AVD? Scenario is seperating say to day usage from privileged administration. Example: user works in AVD day to day. They launch an AVD session using the desktop or web client from within their existing AVD session to a different host pool in the same tenant, logging in as a privileged user account. This 2nd host pool acts as a jump box to privileged resources. Is this possible? Haven’t had a lab to test this scenario :(
I have used AVD as a jump host farm to get into corporate or secure resources but I haven’t tried AVD Inception…it should work fine as long as the client can talk to the AVD service…check the docs for all the required ports - docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/safe-url-list#remote-desktop-clients
can we have a video for the Azure cost saving on AVD personal desktops. and also video on running a ShrinkFSL and configuring it with the schedule PS script using .bat file possibly attach official link to download it
in Azure Virtual Desktop the windows OS license cost is built into the cost of running the VM in the cloud. You can get a discount if you have Software Assurance...then you can use the Azure Hybrid Use Benefit (AHUB) This removes the Windows OS license cost, making things cheaper. In Windows 365 everything is built into the cost that you are paying for each user
