Here's how to make a system where you can fill four (4) tires at the same time and all four (4) wheels will have the same pressure in them. Four Tire Inflation System DIY and 4 tire deflation system.

Yiu've wrapped the teflon tape on all the fittings backwards. Wrap it the other way so when you install it, it will twist the tape on instead of trying to unravel it.

Cobra hose clamps would be better on the hoses where they join the chucks. Much easier on the hands than a screw-up hose clamps.

Hi Sisson, great video made it and it worked fine. Thank you in advance. A small question is when i connect from the second chuck i start losing air and by the time all 4 are connected furing deflating or discoonected after inflation there ia a difference in pressure. What coukd be wring in my built? TIA.

Make sure your valve is turned closed, and make sure all the connections are screwed tight. Once you connect 2+ tires, they will start leveling out the air pressure between the tires.

What a cool project! Now that I've seen your explanation, this is something that is definitely on my list. After a few months of usage, any changes you might recommend to your system? Could you provide a ballpark estimate of the total cost of the hardware used (hose, fittings, & gauge)? Thank you for your well-detailed and -shot process.

After a few months of use I still love this unit. I just used it yesterday. Total cost was about $110. Only small change in would add is velcro straps to help manage rolling up the hose for easier setup and tear down. Velcro each side separately for better organization. Probably a more robust gauge. Mine is banged up and scratched from many uses and being dropped and dragged on the ground.

Glad it's worked out well and getting lots of use!

Great vid, Where did you source the heavy duty brass chucks? And are they the sealed version?

It works better if you get closed type air chucks by Haltec H-5265 they hold on three sides of the tyre valve and last longer than the normal type. Also if you put a nitto coupler on the compressor side of the gauge assembly you don't have a host flopping some when airing down.

I did upgrade to the Haltec H-5265 couplers just a few weeks ago but haven't been out on the trail to test them yet.

I'm thinking this might be a good project to fill the tires on my cars, my trailers, and my lawn equipment and then later expand it to incorporate my neighbor's stuff. Seriously, I can't begin t imagine any point to this. Checking tire pressures is annoying enough without hauling around all that paraphernalia.

If you’ve ever gone off roading, you’d understand.

What Usman said. You air down to 10-20 PSI (depending on terrain) prior to going off-road. When you are done for the day, you then air up to street pressure. Do this a few times and you'll be looking for something like this.

How much was the total cost?

So with the smittybilt you have do you have to turn it off each time to check pressure?

That is ideal.

I bet your the type of guy that would consider going to the moon in a light weight hand glider or even the worlds longest ladder. Where do you keep this spaghetti mas of tubing, not enough room my 4x4.

You'll need an orange sponge for a 5th gen 4runner build.
