I've been driving a truck from a young age. Long time, was running around my uncles ranch in California at the age of 15 in a peterbuilt cabover, 82, because it's what I wanted to do. I love this industry. There was a little growing up I had to do when I was younger with my attitude, and I've made corrections along the way. I avoid drama these days. It's not a one sided relationship with me. I try putting my self in the owner and management shoe's and try to understand were there coming from and not be hard to deal with. I'm not a sociopath person that can't understand anything buy my on selfishly put together needs. I'm glad u guys have this channel here. Putting your self out there and talking about the industry in a way I know u understand it, and I feel safe coming here, I do orientation tomorrow and I plan on staying with you for a long time, me and my 🐕dog.
We appreciate your comment. These strict guidelines are put in place to keep both drivers and the motoring public safe. As far as needing a current medical card, the DOT sets that regulation. You can’t drive if your medical card is expired, as you could put yourself and the motoring public at risk if you have an underlying medical issue.
Accidents will always show up on the MVR, whether the driver is at fault or not. It would be best to save the court paperwork, so you can send that to carriers you're applying to as a way to prove your innocence. That said, it's still up to the specific carrier on whether or not they'll accept that, but many definitely will.
It took me 3 months to figure out this move here, and I sorted through a lot of gimmicks and just people that don't quite have the right fit. Being with a company that doesn't fit ain't much different then wearing boots that are just a little to small, every step of every day, there's discomfort. Pain , I think this going fit. Seems u know the industry, like I do, the market, how to keep people, so I. Looking forward to being a bad ass driver for ya and doing the deal
Was an otr driver for a couple of years then went local for a few months tried to go back regional was told no i had no experience so i decided to just leave the trucking industry theirs way to much drama now but im home every night sleeping in my bed its great best decision i ever made

I was going 60 in 50 and forgot to pay ticket license was suspended for not pay ticket because didn’t have money during covid would this affect me they are currently unsuspended.
It all depends on the carrier. Here at ATS, you can have no more than 3 suspended licenses in the past 3 years. Each carrier has different standards though. In your specific case, since your licenses are currently unsuspended and you've resolved the issue by paying the ticket, it may not have a significant impact on your eligibility. However, it's best to check with your specific carrier to understand their policies and how they consider previous suspensions.
