There is absolutely easy-to-follow section in the manual about typing the symbols. It's a typing RTFM situation. Many thanks for the ideas in using this useful feature. 73.
After spending days trying to figure fldigi and others i stumbled on your series... Afher the first two minutes i decked to follow your guidance and watched the whole series. Im a developer of software and astounded by the method and material you cover. THANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT AND TIME#!!!!
I use a simpler format for macro labels. X=transmit and R=Receive. For normal CQ's it would be CQ X|R. BTU would be BTU |R. X if the macro uses and R if macro uses . I separate them by a doublebar (shift \). I don't mess with the special characters. Been teaching fldigi for years and this makes labeling much easier to teach. I also use gofreq 1000 and 1500 to make waterfall navigation easier. BTW, love the Knoxville part of TN. Steve KC8TVW - Toledo
I downloaded the windows version but will not open up. some how I messed up the config file. tried fixing it several times. even deleted it. It's a duh moment.
Carl Larson it's a separate file with a different name. You will still have your old macro file in that folder. So you can load mine and edit it out as much as you wish.

I am trying to use flwrap. First if you use it for pictures is it too large file size to make it practical? Second, on the receiving end, how do you find the received file? Haven't found much info on flwrap. BTW found your videos very good, thank you!
Pics are always difficult to xmit due to their huge size (remember we are doing emcomm which means "short transmissions" are the rule). If you must send a pic, first thing you need to do is reduce that to a very small size (480x480). Then use Flamp to do a "file transfer" which is what it is designed for. That way if you miss a small portion of the file... you can resend only that part. What my video on Flamp. And... thanks for the kind words. ;oD
