Figured I would make another trip out looking for the cheap steelbooks. I have four Walmarts that are realistic before I have to drive a bit of distance. Join me and see what I find. Music by Karl Casey
I went to two Walmart yesterday digging through 5 bins at the two stores. No luck 5 dollars steelbooks. But a week ago I went to another Walmart and found six 5.00 steelbooks, 2 from hell 4k, hunter killer 4k, Hitman wife body guard 4k, John Wick 1 and 2 bluray steelbooks and Robin hood 4k steelbook.
I checked in my area several times over the past 2 weeks. They have dump bins (some by the electronics, some by the front of the store, one was an end of the aisle half dump bin) but they only had DVDs. Not a steelbook or even a Blu-ray to be found. I think my area must be too big (~2 million metro area) to get any of the steelbooks. However, most do have the full price steelbook section.
Great video Tim! I found the $5 steels yesterday at a Walmart on a $5 endcap. They didn’t have a bin, instead they just put them all on an endcap mixed with $5 DVD’s.
If you find those steelbooks those $5 steel books just became $10 steel books with gas prices going up. I’m pretty sure Best Buy is going to unload more recent titles to the dump bin distributor very soon because there is no more movies on their website, so they gotta be liquidated somewhere. Keep an eye out on Wally’s with dump bins and you’ll find some eventually.
The three Walmarts closest to me don't have the $5 bins, so I drove to two further Walmarts yesterday and they had bins...but no $5 steelbooks! So frustrating
"Freelance" for sure not the best but fun in spots and AB is always a must watch... I got my taxes back and Amazon had it for $11.99 so it was a must grab.
I'm working in Houlton Maine for a live view of the total eclipse and they have a small walmart. I found the 4k steelbooks in the $5 dvd bin. There was about 11 different titles, and I purchased 8 of them.
Keep looking Tim. I found 7 yesterday and I think it was the 5th walmart I checked. They were: CHAOS Walking 4k Spiral 4k Saw 4k Belly 4k 3 From Hell 4k Sicario 4k John Wick blu ray All 5$ steels It also appeared to have only 1 copy each, I found no doubles.
lol my video went viral about to steel books 3 weeks ago now everyone is doing the same videos and going to Walmart love that it reached a big audience, you may be little late tho they came out 3 weeks ago
I actually did a video about 2 weeks ago as well, but people were telling me the official release was the 2nd and the stores that had them broke date.. Sadly there just isn’t the bins at my stores and hasn’t been in quite a long time. There is too many Walmart stores in their network to supply stock to them all. There is stores with Disney sections set up as well and none of my four have them.
Found 2 in the middle of a movie discount bin. The only ones i find on the actual shelves are the full price ones. Its annoying how inconsistent Walmart stores are. My closest one doesnt even have a movie bin while the further one has a very small tucked in the back of the store.

My Walmart does have a $5 bin. There's another Walmart about 20 mi away that has two $5 bins. There was a guy at the second Walmart who bought $150 worth of steelbooks from the $5 bin. Got doubles and triples of everything and was going to resell them. And you were thinking about a pallet jack.
I got that Expendables 1-4 steelbook from someone on facebook for like $24 but yeah I wasn't paying $70 for it. Yeah I enjoyed watching Coach growing up and I have the complete series on DVD. I wish Walmart would have more blu-rays and 4Ks though just way too many DVDs. I want that Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom 4K steelbook to go with my other DC steelbooks and Aquaman steelbook but haven't seen it in any Walmarts near me. I need someone to get it for me as you can't order it online.
Every Walmart employee I've asked about the $5 bin has no idea what I'm talking about when I mention the Best Buy stuff being sold at Walmarts and I had one sternly tell me he had NO idea what I was talking about even after I told him to look up Wallmrt $5 steelbooks on youtube.... my walmarts suck
So they're putting the $5 steelbooks in the bins? I've been looking in wrong spot. Walmart is just failing with physical media. On ebay they going for $30-$40.
The new Magnum PI series is actually quite good the cast works well together and the female version of Higgins is bad@$$.... it's a bummer NBC didn't go farther with the series after saving it from CBS, I miss it.
The really super cheap and suitcase turntables have such a crap needle that they can damage the records. I'd stay far away from them. Especially when you can get an Audio Technica AT-LP60 for around $100, sometimes less if it's on sale… and it's a decently decent deck.
I’ve done that before, but that’s making an assumption the person on the other end knows even remotely what you’re talking about. They use bins and things like that for others items as well so getting an answer on physical media bins isn’t a one size fits all scenario. You’re not going to know the truth unless you actually go in person.
Folks, remember not to get so excited looking for 4K steelies that after you run back home, all you end up with is blu-rays. Was it all just a dream? W-a-a-a-h!
im not wasting my time looking for those damn steelbooks. someone here on RU-vid said that he found some of those and they're damaged. im not paying for that. hell no. i went to three Walmarts and nothing. F It 👎
