Having the # in the file name was the issue for me. Once I renamed it, it worked.

Halo there! thank you for the insightful information, actually my problem with the not working hyperlink occur when I move the excel database (not the linked document, and there's no change in the original file name), I've tried your suggestion but still didn't work. Do you have a solution for this problem? Since I have 656 hyperlinks in the database, would take load of work to re-link the file to the database. Hope you have a solution for this, thank you so so much!
