4 Ways to Get Higher KICKS 

Love your videos! I train Muay Thai mainly, but have really enjoyed learning different style kicks from you! I recently started using the hook kick in sparring cause of your Wonder boy videos 🙏

This is what I've been looking for! Brilliant stuff, many thanks. I've added Seth's website to my faves bar and the wife says she'll but the course for my birthday present in a few weeks. With it being lockdown I'm going to work on her to buy it me in advance so I've got plenty of time to work on the techniques etc. Stay safe and well all.

Thank you for the video, my self I lost a lot of strength and flexibility in my kicks. I wanted to learn techniques and exercises to regain and improve my kicking power and Mobility.

Sick man, nice video. As an old dude who got into MA training later my flexibility is shot, I also do a fair bit of weight training that also had me really tight. I try and do some daily stretching and exercises to help open the hips up every day.

i really struggle with the flexibility, i used to play field hockey for county (yes dudes playing that is a thing in the UK) and you tend to pretty much play the whole game in a stance that resembles something like shiko dachi, even sprinting in it if you have the ball... going from my county level training sessions which were very proper, to half assed PE lessons at school where we never did proper warm ups, just went straight into games, ended up with me tearing my groin multiple times. as a kid, i used to be able to roundhouse kick my older brother in my face (pre karate lessons, i did judo lol) now ive been doing karate a few years, i cant do a mawashi geri above hip height... im lucky to get it over the knee.... sucks so bad man. i'd love to become a more complete fighter by being able to have more variety in my kicks, rather than just front kicks. whats the best way to over come this? just stretching? is there one i should focus on above others? thanks dude, love your videos

I've only now started to learn the first kicks, namely front kick, side kick and the roundhouse kick. I was surprised at how disorienting it is and how far your head has to go from a "normal" standing position. It's DIFFICULT to keep balance and to keep awareness of what's going on around me. It's fun as hell though.

41 years old. Been trying to kick higher for 20 years now, but it's just always the same constant discomfort and pain in my hips when I even try to kick parallel to the floor. I can't even sit cross legged without it being uncomfortable. Never could.

My front kick and back kick are very high but my side and roundhouse are about chest shoulder high. Any idea what I should do to improve my hip flexor strength

sensei seth my kicks are at decent height, atleast head level but i cant maintain it in that position for atleast 2 sec how do i fix that issue?

Why do we kick higher than what is necessary? Is it for aesthetic performance that one can perform kicking like ballet?

Yeah, it's muscles. Muscles are what moves the Human Skeleton. Use small weights for legs, .5 kg - 5 kg.
