I have always tried to do precisely this, but the problem is that there simply isn't enough time to follow this method for my difficult subjects... I barely have enough time to learn the chapters once for every subject... I am too swamped by projects

Idk if this will help but in learning websites like quizlet there are usually study sets that other people make that are quite useful. But u will need to filter out the bad ones and probably, this is only useful if you are learning general subjects.

That's how I learn everything. I used to be the best and fastest learner in class, and then I had to give a short lecture about efficient studying. It didn't take a month until I was on the lower-average part of my class because they've implemented this technique. I am now proud of being on the lower-average part of the class, because it shows how efficient it really is.
@JeremyBach-m4h

Idk what kinda class you attend but it's a damn weird one if all the the class gives a crap about both the presentation and implementing an "efficient study technique"... And even more if the majority are motivated, and diligent enough to successfully implement this "technique"...

one life hack to memorize something in depth is to get a basic understanding of that topic take some notes and pretend you’re teaching a class about that topic.
@crazymode341

Yeah I never had that in school 🤣 we did the old fashioned record our notes on a tape recorder and put the headphones on 24hrs in hopes of retaining something. Instead of reciting you can try writing all the concepts down, just the concepts and try explaining out loud using key words and even make diagrams or mind maps to make it easier to explain and thus better for learning. I also create a time limit or urgency, so I can study something with more focus, concentration, speed and just better.

I believe he is a general surgery resident, so a general surgeon. He may specialize in a particular field of surgery in the future though. I wouldn’t sweat about studying for surgery specifically now. Hell, I just graduated college (applying to med school now) and have yet to study anything that specific on surgery. Just take it a little at a time. Right now, you should focus on college and what premed courses you need to take. Then taking the MCAT.

Become a anesthesiologist or radiologist the pay is top notch and it's less school. Or go for nursing she isn't lying about the pay and now there is levels to nursing degrees in two years you could be in a hospital while working towards the next level learning in the job training as you go getting laid $50,000 to start hell even MA in seattle get paid like $45,000 start and you can get a MA certificate in 8 months at no cost to you at a vocational school

Last year of whats technically my country’s high school but i am taking the “hardest classes”. Advanced -chemistry, -physics, -math and everything else. My technic: use your time in class. Pay attention. Talk about what u are learning with friends in your class. (Not much, dont go overboard, though it can help u with remember some stuff more because you get another association) Before a test, start practicing the week before. It does not need to be very intense right away. Warm your mind up to the fact u have a pretty big test in 2 weeks or something. I make notes on formulas and definitions and hang different places. - on my wall - this will become wallpaper - bathroom (if u are brave enough) - i live in a dormetry but the fridge would be a great place so u still focus on test while making food the days before the test. Basically i look at them while getting ready and doing routines. Also when I am tired and not feeling for it i am still able to somewhat practice soemthing cause they do be everywhere in my room. Also when actually reading and doing tasks, i wonder something and turn around cause wasn’t that formula right above the mirror. The 1-3 days before the test do tasks. Just do a lot of tasks. It depends how big the test is and how confident you are you know the subject. - This tip is probably one of the best as when i talked with the other ca. straight As students they all expressed the importance of this. When u get on the test u see a lot of tasks but u are able to figure out what to do because u have done so many similar before. Also get hold of previous tests if u can. Did like 3 different exams the evening and 1 in the morning before my last chemistry exam. Before i used to just pay attention in class and not study at all before on my spare time or do homework and still pull of A or B+. But times change, dont get to cocky. Also write up all your coming test for a reasonable time forward in a spot you see basically every day.

I’m a huge fan of active studying. When I was in college, we had to do “drop the needle” exams in music history. There was a list of questions that we needed to answer, and then an essay to write for each piece of music that was played. I always studied by writing out my answer ideas (or lists of possible answers depending on where the needle was dropped) giving myself the test over and over. I also go together with friends to quiz each other. It was so much easier than passively reviewing information.

Eh, yes and no? When you’re in med or nursing school (or other healthcare profession education), knowing what exactly to study for and what not to is key because we can only retain so many things. For example, you may be tested on a particular medication. Do you need to know the mechanism of it down to the organic chemistry level? Do you need to know the structure of it? Clinical use? Dosage? Dosage on children? Overdose? Med school is about breadth, not depth. That comes later.

It's good advice. But I don't understand why this video is necessary. It's not anything new or insightful. Just about any doctor or nurse who has successfully passed has had to do this or some combination. There are so many resources out there telling you this. It's not unique to med school or nursing. It just makes no sense why any of this is being told like they discovered the secret to passing. This is so generic.
